"Bible Prophecy Moves Closer to Fulfillment"

Predicting the future was probably the last thing on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's mind in his speech before the U.S. Congress earlier this month.

But that's exactly what he did when he said, "Even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand."

The Bible, which foretells Israel's entire history with stunning 100% accuracy, clearly says Israel will indeed stand alone in the end.

With one very notable exception--God.

Zechariah 12 details a period of time after the Jews are again inhabiting Jerusalem (fulfilled in 1967) and the return of the Messiah (still pending).

"...though all nations of the earth are gathered against it ...the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem" (Zechariah 12:3,8).
Got that? The LORD will defend them not the U.S.

Tuesday the U.S. administration "leaked" information that brings Zechariah's prophecy regarding the final World War one step closer:

"Israeli intelligence was eavesdropping on closed-door nuclear negotiations between the U.S.& Iran, then passing the classified information along to the U.S. Congress," says  The Wall Street Journal.

Sadly, this story says more about this administration than it does about Israel, our closest ally in the region:

  • Obama failed to keep his promise to update Israel on the negotiations.
  • The U.S. Congress was also kept in the dark.
  • The administration is doing everything possible to undermine Israel...
  • ...and to paint Netanyahu in a negative light.
Iran's nuclear program poses an existential threat to Israel. This administration has made no attempt to keep Israel in the loop in regards to the progress (or lack thereof) in negotiations. Can anyone blame Israel if the allegations (which Israel emphatically denies) are true?

Remember, Israel is God's chosen instrument to demonstrate his faithfulness to the world. All of human history revolves around the Jews. To come against them is to come against God. (Genesis 12:1-3, 17:1-26, 22:15-18).

A wise man once said: "In Israel to be a realist you must believe in miracles." --David Ben-Gurion, Israel's first Prime Minister

"On that day the LORD will defend the people of Jerusalem, the weakest among them will be as mighty as King David! And the royal descendants will be like God, like the angel of the Lord who goes before them! For My plan is to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem" (Zechariah 12:8-9).
