"Endtimes? How We Know 4 Sure"

Why is it so difficult to pinpoint exactly where we are on God's Timeline?

Because the signs He gave us to watch for (Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21) were not clearly defined.

The disciples asked Jesus what will be the sign of His coming and of the end of the age? He answered by telling them to watch out for:
  1. deception
  2. wars/rumors of wars
  3. famines
  4. pestilences
  5. earthquakes
That would be fine and dandy if those things had never happened before, but let's face it, there have always been:
  1. deception
  2. wars/rumors of wars
  3. famines
  4. pestilences
  5. earthquakes
So what's different now?

Israel, of course.

The signs mentioned above were meaningless until the Jews were back in the land. It's important to remember that for almost 2000 years, Israel did not exist, and yet hundreds of prophecies regarding the end of the age refer to Israel, Jerusalem and the Temple. If Israel didn't exist, we couldn't possibly be near the end of the age.

Jesus said those signs were only the beginning. They would increase in both frequency and intensity--just like labor pains in a pregnant woman. But in Luke 21: 28 He says, "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." In other words, the believer won't be here to see the hard labor, though it's probable we'll see the beginning of the birth pains. Jesus put it this way: "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When it's branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, buy My words will by no means pass away." (Matthew 24:32)

"How Authentic Are You?"

"Although large crowds followed Jesus wherever He went, Jesus knew that not all who followed Him were genuine disciples," says Sim Kay Tee, author of Can I Really Trust the Bible?

"Jesus taught often of the radical commitment needed if we want to follow Him," cautions Tee.

"If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me," Jesus said in Luke 9:23.

"Deny yourself?Take up a cross?

Who wants to do that?"

John MacArthur, one of today's foremost Bible teachers, dares to teach the hard facts: "The world is filled with millions of people who think they are headed for heaven--but they are deadly wrong.

"Probably most people think heaven awaits them, but it doesn't. But what is especially sad is that many of those people sit in evangelical churches misinformed," says MacArthur.

Why? Because many churches "adjust the message" fearing the truth will make us uncomfortable.

"It's not my truth," contends MacArthur. "I don't have any saving truth, neither does anyone else but God."  Jesus said, "I assure you, unless you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God" (John 3:3). "Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven" (John 3:6).

According to MacArthur (and the Bible): "The true gospel is a call to self-denial. It is not a call to self-fulfillment.

"Salvation is giving up your life and embracing His. It is taking in Christ by faith, acknowledging the reality of who He is and what He did."

In other words, we need to understand that Jesus Christ was God in human flesh. He led a perfect, sinless life so He could die an agonizing death to pay the price for our sin. He rose again on the third day in a resurrected body to eternal life. All who receive His substitutionary death and turn away from their sin will also rise to eternal life. Simple, but not easy. Free, but not cheap.

The Gospel message is offensive and exclusive. It offends those who believe they're okay the way they are and it excludes all the offended.

So, is the church full of phonies? A more accurate description is: The modern church is full of unconverted people who don't know the Scriptures. And if they don't know the Scriptures, they don't know Christ. They've been taught a watered-down, feel-good, anything-goes gospel. The Bible says "be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22).

And let's face it gang-it's impossible to "do" the word if we don't know the word.

Solution? Read the word of God and just do it!

A wise man once said: "As a Christian, you are called to live like Jesus--a life of courage, joy, passion, and purpose. The same Jesus who walked with such resolve and determination throughout His own earthly life has a distinct and daily purpose for yours. God does not call us to happiness, but to holiness." --John MacArthur

"Our lives are a fragrance presented by Christ to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those being saved and by those perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a fearful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume" (2 Corinthians 2:15-16).

"2017 & The Jubilee Prophecy"

Prophecy buffs--revvvv your engines! There's a new (well, not that new) end time date being set--and this one may actually have a track record.

It all began back in 1217 when the Jewish Rabbi Judah ben Samuel was given what is known as the "10 Jubilee Prophecy"

The Rabbi claimed there would be 10 Jubilees before the Messianic end time would begin.

The starting point? When the Ottoman Turks began to rule over Jerusalem, which would last for 8 Jubilees (400 years).

A Jubilee is a 49-year period ending in the 50th year which is a Year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25:8-13).

Three hundred years after the Rabbi's death, the Ottoman Turks seized control over Jerusalem for--you guessed it--8 Jubilees, or 400 years! That happened in 1517, a Jubilee year.

The Turks eventually lost control of the city when the Allied forces, under the command of General George Allenby, drove them out on Hanukkah.

Guess what year? 1917. Exactly 400 years or 8 Jubilees later.

Next the Rabbi prophesied that during the 9th Jubilee (or the next 50 years) Jerusalem would be a "no-man's land" until the next Jubilee 50 years later when it would go back to the Jews.

It happened just as he said.

From 1917-1967, the Holy City literally belonged to no one. It was placed under British Mandate in 1917 by the League of Nations.

By 1948, the Jews were back in the land, but Jerusalem was divided by a strip of land running right through the heart of the city. Jordan controlled the eastern part and Israel controlled the western part of the city.

The strip in the middle? It was dubbed "No Man's Land" by both the Israelis and Jordanians.

In 1967 during the Six Day War, Israel regained possession of the entire city. Once again exactly as prophesied by Rabbi ben Samuel 750 years earlier.

But the Rabbi wasn't done.

He also said that Jerusalem would remain under Jewish control for the 10th Jubilee (a period of 50 years) and the "Messianic end time" would begin.

1967 + 50 = 2017

So, is this true? When it comes to extra-biblical prophecy always  proceed with caution. While this prophecy may seem to be well-documented (just Google it) and is interesting, that doesn't necessarily mean it's from God or that we should expect anything to happen in 2017. Any extra-biblical prophecy should be viewed with skepticism and weighed against Scripture.

In other words: We report, you decide.

Is this it? 2017-2018 The Final Jubilee--Season of the Rapture?
"And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." 2 Peter 1:19-21

"What's Next On The Prophetic Calendar?"

When God told Moses to proclaim seven holy convocations, He referred to them as "My feasts" (Lev. 23:1-2). In English, that means "appointed times" or "dress rehearsals". In other words the God of Israel established an annual cycle of holidays to be practiced year after year as their prophetic "type" is fulfilled by the Messiah. Jews all over the globe continue the holiday cycle having little understanding of their prophetic significance because they do not recognize that their Messiah has come.

There are seven feast days divided by seasons linked to the agricultural cycle of Israel. Four come in Spring:
  • Passover (Pesach)
  • Unleavened Bread (Chag HaMatzot)
  • First fruits (Ha Bikkurim)
  • Pentecost (Shavuot)
Three come in the fall:
  • Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah)
  • Atonement (Yom Kippur)
  • Tabernacles (Sukkot)
These appointed times (or dress rehearsals) of the Lord provide a panorama of God's plan for mankind. They are an overview or outline of history that has amazing implications for every one of us.

According to Kevin Williams of RBC Ministries, "Many Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus share the conviction that the first phase of Messiah's deliverance has been recorded on the center page of human history."

He goes on to explain that the plan of God was revealed during the holy days of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First fruits, and Pentecost. "With a sudden turn of events, the first four feasts of Israel took on the personality of a miracle worker who bore the marks of God's Messiah. On Passover, Jesus became the sacrificial Lamb whose blood marked all who believe in Him for deliverance. During the Feast of Unleavened Bread, He died to take away our sin and to give us, in the place of our own efforts the "bread" (life-sustaining provision) of His eternal presence. On the Feast of First fruits, He arose from the dead to show that it was by God's power that He carried out our rescue. Then 50 days later on the Feast of Pentecost, Jesus sent His Spirit to show His presence with all who are willing to stake their lives on Him."

In other words, the first four feast days have already been fulfilled.

So what's next on the prophetic calendar? The Feast of Trumpets aka Rosh Hashanah which many believe will be fulfilled by the Rapture of the Church, This year people are going nuts over the Revelation 12 sign in the heavens to occur on September 23rd, two days after Rosh Hashanah.

"Angels, Demons & Aliens: What Do They Have In Common?"

So, exactly who is piloting UFOs anyway? Are they really beings from outer space? Before we can answer these questions, it is necessary to give a little background information first. Please bear with us a moment.

We believe there is a definite connection between angels, demons, and aliens.

Angels are creations of God and have real, physical bodies that look similar to our bodies. In fact, there are numerous times throughout the Bible where angels are mistaken for people. But they are able to manifest attributes that we don't have, such as changing their appearance and appearing and disappearing at will. There are two groups of angels: Holy angels and fallen angels.

Way back, long before God created mankind, there was a rebellion in heaven headed by the Archangel Lucifer. A third of the angels chose to follow him rather than God, so God booted them out of heaven. Often, the terms 'fallen angel' and 'demon' are used interchangeably, but that isn't correct. Demons are entirely different. They don't have physical bodies. They are disembodied spirits.

Okay, so did God create demons?

Not exactly. Demons are disembodied spirits of a deceased Nephilim.

What's a Nephilim?

The Nephilim are the offspring of fallen angels and the daughters of men mentioned in the very controversial Genesis 6 passage. "...And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose" (Genesis 6:1-2).

The word 'daughters' clearly means female children of human parents. The 'daughters of men' were simply women, in other words.

The 'sons of God' refer to an entirely different group from either the 'men' or the 'daughters of men'. The term occurs elsewhere in the Bible and clearly means 'angels' (see Job 1:6).

The term 'sons of God' in Hebrew is 'B'nai Ha Elohim--Sons of Elohim, a term consistently meaning 'angels' throughout the Old Testament. Ancient rabbinical texts and early New Testament translators agreed the term refers to angels. Up until the fifth century A.D., there was no question that the text meant: fallen angels procreating with human women.

Why the controversy? Apparently, it became politically incorrect.
