"Talking To Dead People"

See the source image

Dr. Lakara Foster is a psychic medium. She is also a licensed minister at The Vision Church of Atlanta.

Foster, who claims she's able to speak to dead people, also has a YouTube series called, "The Gift", that follows her life as a medium, minister and spiritual teacher.

And who do you suppose she says gave her The Gift? You guessed it--God.

"Foster asked God why He gave her the ability to talk to the dead," reports CBN News. She believes God gave her a clear answer.

"God said, 'I promised My people eternal life, how will My people know that I've kept My promise if you don't demonstrate your gift?'" Foster said.

(H-m-m-m--does the word faith ring a bell?)

Foster earned a Doctorate of Ministry from the Interdenominational Theological Center and wrote her thesis on the biblical case for ministers who speak to the dead.

Foster wonders why the church doesn't consider conjuring up spirits a spiritual gift. We wonder if Foster has ever opened a Bible. For starters, Deuteronomy 18:9-12 says:
"When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or cast spells, or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord."
Leviticus 20:6 says,
"I will set My face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritualists to prostitute himself by following them. I will cut him off from his people."
Dr. Lakara Foster and those like her are a dark force trying to creep into our fellowship. They are counterfeits. Necromancy is condemned throughout scripture. Christian, if your "church" doesn't teach the Bible--run. It is a last days deception. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 warns:
"Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons. These teachers are hypocrites and liars. They pretend to be religious, but their consciences are dead."
Don't be deceived. We can only know God to the degree that we know His Word; it is the vehicle He chose to reveal Himself to us.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1).

A wise man once said: "God has provided His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the Mediator between man and God (1 Timothy 2:5). With Jesus Christ as our Mediator, we can go through Jesus to God. Why would we want to go through a sinful dead individual, especially when doing so risks the wrath of God?" -- Got Questions.org

"U.N. Report: Extreme Threats On Horizon"

The U.N. issued dire warnings in a new report released Wednesday at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Geneva.

How dire are they? The report listed a wide variety of threats that will kill us if we don't watch out, and states: "Increasingly complex, growing and related risks, from global warming, pollution, earthquakes, epidemics, and droughts will threaten human survival if left to escalate."

"Extreme weather events have doubled over the last 20 years," said Mami Mizutori, special representative of the U.N Secretary-General for Disaster Relief Reduction.

"If we continue living in this way, engaging with each other and the planet in the way we do, then our very survival is in doubt," she said.

Not everyone is taking this news laying down (or "engaging" with each other, apparently). Reuters reports on "a growing movement of women and young people who have vowed not to have families out of concern about a looming climate change crisis."

According to Reuters, "German schoolteacher Verena Brunschweiger decided shortly after her marriage not to have children--not because she did not want them but because she felt she could not justify the climate damage caused by adding to the planet's population."

"We really thought long and hard about this," Brunschweiger said. "Eventually the environment was the most important factor to me."

Climate activists have set up a global campaign group dubbed Birthstrike for those who have vowed not to have children due to the "severity of the ecological crisis."

"Having fewer children is by far the most effective way to reduce our carbon footprint," advocates claim. But are they opening a new can of worms with problems of its own?

A new government report released Wednesday says U.S. birth rates have reached record lows, leading to the fewest babies in 32 years. Meaning? "The current generation isn't making enough babies to replace itself," the report warned.

H-m-m-m. Doomed if you do--Doomed if you don't.

A wise man once said: "We are seeing a cooling trend. High above Earth's surface, near the edge of space, our atmosphere is losing heat energy. If current trends continue, it could soon set a Space Age record for cold." -- Martin Mlynczak, NASA Research Center
Jesus said, "Nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other. There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and epidemics in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs in the heavens. But before all this occurs, there will be a time of great persecution" (Luke 21:10-12).

"Want To Live Longer?"

A recent Time-Health & Longevity article reports 5 lifestyle habits to minimize threats to our health.

"When it comes to staying healthy, most people have the same motivation: living as long and fulfilling a life as possible. And while science has yet to find a true fountain of youth, researchers have identified certain behaviors that can increase longevity."

  1. Eating a healthy diet (Mediterranean)
  2. Exercising regularly (at least 30 minutes a day)
  3. Maintaining a healthy body weight (BMI under 25)
  4. Drinking only in moderation (no more than 1 drink for women, 2 for men -per day)
  5. Not smoking (ever)
Want to live forever?

According to Got Questions.org, we will.

"The Greek word translated 'everlasting' means 'perpetual, eternal, forever.' Perhaps the word perpetual best explains the biblical concept of everlasting life; it is life that, once begun, continues perpetually into eternity.

"This speaks to the idea that man's life is not merely physical. Rather the true life of human beings is spiritual, and while the physical life ends, the spiritual continues throughout eternity."

In other words, life will never end. The Big Question is where we  will spend it--with God and all that is good, or apart from Him?

"When God created humans, He intended that they would live joyously forever, both physically and spiritually, but they sinned and brought death to themselves and to all subsequent generations (Romans 5:12-14). However, our merciful God sent His Son as a perfect sacrifice to suffer, once for all time, the punishment due to everyone who has sinned."

So what must we do to live joyously forever?

Believe Him.

A wise man once said: "We receive everlasting life by dying to our own efforts and receiving Christ Jesus into our hearts as our Lord and Savior, and, when we do, we are instantly reborn and made alive in Christ. We may not feel any immediate change, but there has in fact been a rebirth in the heart (John 3:6-7), and we are now free of the fear of death; we have the promise of God that we will never die spiritually, but instead will live forever with our Lord Jesus (1 Corinthians 5:9-10). Later, when we die physically, our soul will immediately be with the Lord, and still later, when He returns, the Lord will resurrect our bodies to meet Him in the air. As for those Christians who are alive at His return, their bodies will be changed "in the twinkle of an eye," and they will not experience even physical death (1 Corinthians 15:5-52) -- Got Questions.org
"But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn--not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God" (John 1:12-13).

"Russian Technology or UFOs?"

According to the U.S. Navy: "There have been a number of reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled ranges and designated airspace in recent years."

Last week, the Navy announced they're drafting new guidelines for personnel to report these encounters without adversely affecting their careers or being stigmatized.

"To be clear," says Politico, "the Navy isn't endorsing the idea that its sailors have encountered alien spacecraft. But it is acknowledging there have been enough strange aerial sightings by credible and highly trained military personnel that they need to be recorded in the official record and studied--rather than dismissed as some kooky phenomena from the realm of science fiction."

Luis Elizondo is a former Pentagon official who was in charge of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.

He wonders, "What happens in five years if it turns out these are extremely advanced Russian aircraft?"

Good question, but we wonder why UFOs are suddenly so popular, especially at a time when Bible prophecy and current events are lining up so perfectly, unless...author Billy Crone's theory proves true and is getting ready to happen.

In his book, UFOs: The Great Last Days Deception, Crone says:

"Ufology has become a new religion for (the) 21st century where people now believe that aliens will save them, not God.

"The problem is hardly anyone recognizes the true identity of UFOs, let alone how they are being used to usher in one of the darkest, most deceptive times in the history of mankind."

Crone's theory? "The premise of extraterrestrials, aliens and UFOs, are poised to become the ultimate excuse to explain away the Rapture of the church.

"I think this for obvious reasons," explains Crone. "Put yourself in satan's shoes.. Here you have an event that you cannot deny, you can't spin it away, it really happened. Millions of people, all around the world, suddenly disappeared, and it's specifically and only Christians."

Crone goes on to quote several New Age authors who teach about the coming "Evacuation" of millions into hovering spacecraft. Only those who refuse to "evolve" and cooperate with the New World Order of things as prescribed by our extraterrestrial "brothers" will be taken.

Coincidence?

A wise man once said: "There is a cosmic deception being orchestrated and you are one of its targets." -- Douglas James Mahr, author
"Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep (die), but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality...then the saying that is written will come true: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory...' through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 15:51-53, 54b. 57b)
