"Grocery Bills Heading Even Higher?"

According to The Wall Street Journal we can now add 'fertilizer' to the growing list of global problems.

That's right, gang--fertilizer shortages are driving up costs causing the developing world to curtail production which intensifies world hunger.

Farms are failing and The Wall Street Journal has issued this ominous warning:

"From South America's avocado, corn, and coffee farms to Southeast Asia's plantations of coconuts and oil palm, high fertilizer prices are weighing on farmers across the developing world, making it much costlier to cultivate and forcing many to cut back on production.

"That means grocery bills could go up even more in 2022, following a year in which global food prices rose to decade highs. An uptick would exacerbate hunger--already acute in some parts of the world because of pandemic-linked job losses--and thwart efforts by politicians and central bankers to subdue inflation."

And if you think the United States won't be affected, think again. Input costs for things like fertilizer, liquid nitrogen and seeds have tripled--and in some cases even quadrupled recently. For many U.S. farmers it will not be profitable to plant this year.

We believe this may be the beginnings of another "Sign of the Times" described in Scripture. The Bible predicts a global famine during the 7 years of Tribulation, and while this may still be a ways off,  the fact that so many signs are happening globally all at once seems to indicate it's getting closer. Which means the Rapture of the Church is even closer still.

Our advice? Get ready now--first spiritually then physically, because we don't know how long we will be here. In other words: Get saved, get supplied, and avoid the worst of what's coming.

A wise man once said: "In modern times, as in ancient Rome, several nations have suffered a "systems collapse". The term describes the sudden inability of once-prosperous populations to continue with what had ensured the good life as they knew it.

Abruptly, the population cannot buy, or even find, once plentiful necessities. They feel their streets are unsafe. Laws go unenforced or are enforced inequitably. Every day things stop working. The government turns from reliable to capricious, if not hostile." --Victor Davis Hansen, PJ Media

"And I looked up and saw a black horse, and its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. And a voice from among the four living beings said, "A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley for a day's pay. And don't waste the olive oil and wine" -- (REVELATION 6:5-6).

"Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him" -- (JEREMIAH 17:7).

"People Are Beginning To Ask Questions"

Ask pretty much anybody what they remember most about 2020 and you'll get pretty much the same answer: It was the year when everything changed.

The pandemic will be remembered as a turning-point, a 'black swan' event that derailed everything everywhere and caused life as we knew it to come to a screeching halt.

But the news isn't all bad. Pastors, evangelists, and online ministries saw Christian conversions go through the roof, while internet searches for the topic of prayer surged to the highest level in five years.

Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship says the pandemic caused many people to start asking the big questions. For example, "Don't all religions lead to God?"

The answer, he says, is an emphatic 'No'. "The God of the Bible is the one, true God, and at some time in the future, the entire world will acknowledge this fact."

Laurie goes on to explain, "God's Word is tested and true. All that God says will come to pass. He sees all and knows all because He is eternal. While we are limited by space and time and can see things only from the beginning to end, God sees things from the end to the beginning.

"For instance, the words God spoke concerning the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, in the Old Testament were fulfilled to the letter and recorded in the New Testament. For that reason, when God speaks of the future--such as Christ's return to earth for all believers--you can bank on it."

A wise man once said: "God does not just limit Himself to a select group of people who must follow certain rituals in order to be acceptable to Him. He has made His offer of salvation to all who will turn to Him. In the end, whether everyone believes or not, all the world will indeed bow before Him as the one, true God." -- Greg Laurie

"I am God, and there is no one else like Me. Only I can tell you what is going to happen even before it happens. Everything I plan will come to pass..." (ISAIAH 46:9-10).

"The Government Is Making a List of Names"

While most of the country was distracted by the latest COVID surge, a federal agency in the District of Columbia made a quiet announcement:

They plan to collect, store, and maintain a list of every employee who has refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19 on religious grounds.

According to The Daily Signal, an online news publication founded by the conservative thinktank The Heritage Foundation, this new system is clearly a "stealth test" operation and "will likely serve as a model for a whole-of-government push to assemble lists of Americans who object on religious grounds to a COVID-19 vaccine."

Meanwhile, at least seven other federal agencies, including five Cabinet departments, are setting up similar "personal religious information" databases.

And that ain't all folks. So are the federal departments of:

  • Treasury
  • Interior
  • Housing and Urban Development
  • Health and Human Services
  • Transportation
  • The General Services Administration
  • Security and Exchange Commission
So what exactly does the government intend to do with this list of names besides collect, store, and maintain them in their "personal religious information" databases?

Nobody seems to know.

A wise man once said: "English historian Edward Gibbon published the first volume of The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire in 1776, the same year the United States of America declared its independence. Gibbon published the sixth and final volume of that work in 1789, the year the United States Constitution went into effect...I don't think that timing was a coincidence. I believe God intended that Edward Gibbon's work should serve as a warning to the fledgling American nation not to follow the pattern of decline and fall that was set centuries earlier by the Roman Empire.
America was warned, but America seems to be ignoring that warning. Today, we see the U.S. following a similar pattern of decline and fall that led to the collapse of Rome..." Ray C. Stedman,  A Nation in Crisis
"When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But with wise and knowledgeable leaders, there is stability"  (PROVERBS 28:2).

"The Bible Reveals What's Coming"

Every year the soothsayers crawl out of the woodwork with their predictions and every year the masses eat it up. But the Bible? Not so much. And yet:

  • The Bible is the only prophetic book there is.
  • The Bible is actually a compilation of books that tell the future in very specific and detailed prophecies that God uses to authenticate His authorship.
  • The Bible reveals God's plan for mankind from the very beginning to the very end.
The result? The Bible proves God's existence, His purpose, His great love for mankind and the great lengths He went to in order to save us from an eternity separated from Him.

The problem? Most people will never bother to read the Bible.

As every major player and global trend continues to fit into place exactly as the Bible predicts, we believe the prophecy detailed in 1 Thessalonians 5: 2-3 may come in our lifetime:
"For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, 'All is well; everything is peaceful and secure', then disaster will fall upon them as suddenly as a woman's birth pains begin when her child is about to be born. And there will be no escape."
We're living in an age of deception filled with false doctrine, fabricated science and fake news. The scariest thing about deception is, when it's done well, we don't know we're being deceived.

The Bible warns against end-time deception that will accelerate once the church is taken out of the way and the Master Deceiver arrives on the scene.
"The coming of the lawless one (aka The Antichrist) is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 THESSALONIANS 2:9-12).
Ultimately, God will give people what they want. If you don't want God now--don't assume you'll want Him later.
"Behold now is the day of salvation" (2 CORINTHIANS 6:2).
A wise man once said: "The Bible is the only book that hangs its entire credibility on its ability to write history in advance, without error." Chuck Missler

"The Secret To A Happy New Year"

Well the polls are in and the numbers aren't good. More than half (53-58%) of Americans think 2021 was the "worst year of their life."

Some, like the Fox News National Poll has 55% of Americans agreeing it was a bad year for them personally, while 7 in 10 said 2021 was also a disastrous year for the country.

If you're thinking its because of the pandemic and sky-high inflation, you'd be right--but that's not the whole story.

An Axios poll pins the blame (at least in part) on political polarization, particularly among young Democrats.

For instance:

  • 71 % would not date a Republican
  • 37% would not be friends with one
  • 41% would not conduct business with one and
  • nearly 1/3 would not work for one
But we believe the real reason people are so dissatisfied is because God is no longer welcome in this country.

A truly sad state of affairs.

Will 2022 be better?

The simple answer can be found in an old bumper sticker:
KNOW GOD KNOW PEACE

NO GOD NO PEACE

Looks like the choice is ours to make.

A wise man once said: "People are increasingly miserable, and as society continues to push thoughts of God aside, it will get worse. Every day, 2021 brought more news stories pointing to signs of the last days as given in the Bible. But I want to focus on just one--the global movement to make the world ready for the Antichrist. Few of the elite movers and shakers know what they are really doing or why. But let's be clear. Satan has an agenda for our planet and its inhabitants. And those who reject Christ are increasingly vulnerable to his manipulations." -- Hal Lindsey, author

"So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the special blessings that will come to you at the return of Jesus Christ"  (1 PETER 1:13).
