"...And There Will Be Signs In The Sun, Moon & Stars"

"The Northern Lights, or the aurora borealis, are beautiful dancing ribbons of light that have captivated people for millennia," according to Space.com.

However, they are called 'Northern Lights' for a reason and are usually only visible in places like Alaska, Canada, and northern Europe.

It is extremely rare to see them as far south as Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Southern California, but due to massive explosions on the surface of the Sun known as coronal mass ejections--we did.

And that ain't all folks.

Scientists anticipate heightened solar activity in the coming years, with the sun reaching its peak in what some are calling  "The Internet Apocalypse"  in 2025 (Um...is that before or after the next Blood Moon?).

Yikes. And get this:

Though a possible collision between Earth and a giant asteroid on Friday the 13th sounds like a Hollywood blockbuster starring Bruce Willis...it is not.

On April 13, 2029, Asteroid 99972, aka Apophis (the 'Egyptian God of Chaos'), an asteroid that "appeared" to be on a collision course with Earth's orbital path (but now isn't) will come uncomfortably close to our planet. (Close, but no cigar, according to NASA).

Discovered in 2004, the initial calculations of this "Near Earth Object" (NEO) were that there was a small but very real possibility that it would strike Earth somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean with the explosive force of 880 million tons of TNT and be 65,000 times more destructive than Hiroshima or any tsnami ever recorded.

Since then, the expected trajectory has been recalculated, refigured, and retracted.

NASA now says it will fly harmlessly by.

Others say, "Not so fast NASA." Impact cannot be completely ruled out given:

  1. How extremely close to the earth this asteroid comes, and
  2. there are several years worth of unknown gravitational effects that could change its trajectory.
Apophis is projected to come within 19,400 miles of Earth--that puts it within range of satellites and space stations, and during the 2029 flyby, it will be close enough to be visible to the naked eye.

So, just because Apophis will be closer than any other sizeable asteroid in recorded history, and even a tiny change in trajectory could spell disaster--there's absolutely no reason for alarm.

NASA says everything's A-OK, and since a government agency would never lie to us--we need to believe them...after all, lying to avoid public panic only happens in the movies. Or does it?

A wise man once said: "Jesus promises 'signs' in several places. And yet in some ways, we don't really need them. Would you act differently if you saw a sign today that the end was near? If so, that's a sign that you're not fully committed to Him. Repent and begin following Jesus with your whole life right now before it's too late."-- ConnectUs, Editor-in-Chief
"And there shall be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring, men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens  will be shaken" (LUKE 21:25-27).

"Is God A Zionist?"

What exactly is Zionism?

According to History.com:

"Simply put, Zionism is a movement to create a Jewish presence in Israel. The name comes from the word "Zion" which is a Hebrew term that refers to Jerusalem."

According to the Bible:

Zion, or all the land of Israel, belongs to God who gave it to His chosen people, the Jews (Genesis 12:7), aka "The Promised Land" (Joshua 1:4).

Scripture refers to Zion as the "City of Holiness" and a "city of refuge" where the Lord protects His people, the Jews, from the evils of the world.

Twice the Jews were exiled form Zion in punishment for their sins. Once to Babylonia, and then again by the Romans into what is called the Diaspora.

But God promised to restore them permanently to their ancient homeland in the "latter days", which God did in 1948 after almost 2,000 years of exile.

And while the Jews have returned to Israel in unbelief, Romans 11:26 plainly says, "All Israel will be saved" in the end.

The word "Zion" is featured 152 times in the Old Testament and 7 times in the New. Clearly, Zion is important to God and will play a leading role in the future.

Eventually, (and possibly very soon) Jesus Christ will return to earth and establish His Kingdom in what is known as the Millennial Reign of Christ (found in Revelation 20:1-6).

And where will this Kingdom be located? You guessed it. Zion.

A wise man once said: "Christian, do yourself a favor. As we watch America struggling with a very fast rising tide of antisemitism, why don't you pick a side and stay there? You see, I believe my Bible, and I know how it all winds up, who wins, and how it all will go when the end times dust settles. So here and now, by faith, I stand on the side of the King of the Jews, on the side of His chosen people, and with the biblical, and literal, physical, and earthly Zion which is the City of David. Where do you stand?" -- Geoffrey Grider, Now The End Begins

"This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'You can be sure that I will rescue My people (the Jew) from the east and from the west. I will bring them home again to live safely in Jerusalem. They will be My people, and I will be faithful and just toward them as their God" (ZECHARIAH 8:7).
