"The Government Is Making a List of Names"

While most of the country was distracted by the latest COVID surge, a federal agency in the District of Columbia made a quiet announcement:

They plan to collect, store, and maintain a list of every employee who has refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19 on religious grounds.

According to The Daily Signal, an online news publication founded by the conservative thinktank The Heritage Foundation, this new system is clearly a "stealth test" operation and "will likely serve as a model for a whole-of-government push to assemble lists of Americans who object on religious grounds to a COVID-19 vaccine."

Meanwhile, at least seven other federal agencies, including five Cabinet departments, are setting up similar "personal religious information" databases.

And that ain't all folks. So are the federal departments of:

  • Treasury
  • Interior
  • Housing and Urban Development
  • Health and Human Services
  • Transportation
  • The General Services Administration
  • Security and Exchange Commission
So what exactly does the government intend to do with this list of names besides collect, store, and maintain them in their "personal religious information" databases?

Nobody seems to know.

A wise man once said: "English historian Edward Gibbon published the first volume of The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire in 1776, the same year the United States of America declared its independence. Gibbon published the sixth and final volume of that work in 1789, the year the United States Constitution went into effect...I don't think that timing was a coincidence. I believe God intended that Edward Gibbon's work should serve as a warning to the fledgling American nation not to follow the pattern of decline and fall that was set centuries earlier by the Roman Empire.
America was warned, but America seems to be ignoring that warning. Today, we see the U.S. following a similar pattern of decline and fall that led to the collapse of Rome..." Ray C. Stedman,  A Nation in Crisis
"When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But with wise and knowledgeable leaders, there is stability"  (PROVERBS 28:2).
