"Is Putin Thinking The Unthinkable?"

According to Pavel Luzin, an expert at the Russian-focused thinktank known as Riddle, the once unthinkable use of nuclear weapons will come in stages if Ukraine and Russia negotiations fail and Putin feels he is backed into a corner with nothing to lose.

Stage One would see a tactical weapon used over the sea or an uninhabited area as an act of intimidation.

Stage Two would only be tried if Stage One failed to achieve the desired results. Stage Two would employ a tactical weapon over a city.

Christopher Chivuis, who served as the top U.S. intelligence official for Europe from 2018-2021, believes continued Ukraine escalation has a 50/50 chance of crossing the nuclear threshold.

Last week, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was asked three times by CNN to rule out the use of nuclear weapons.

He refused.

Meanwhile, Charles Nenner, geopolitical and financial-cycle expert, says his analysis show the world is entering into a years-long war cycle.

Nenner believes Russia, China, and Iran will join forces against the West because the West is in "disarray" and lacks strong leadership.

The truth is the Russia/Ukraine war has heightened anxieties all over the globe.

But should it? No. Ideally, it should cause us to closely examine our lives to see where we stand with God.

In 1st Peter 2:11, Peter calls us 'sojourners and pilgrims', reminding us that this earth is not our home. We are foreigners here traveling to our eternal home. Everything that happens to us here on earth is geared toward moving us closer to where we will spend eternity.

We're either moving closer to Jesus or further away. The situation the world is in during these waning days of history are meant to draw us closer.

God's words addressed to Israel during a difficult time in their history apply equally to all those who put their faith in Christ:

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." (JEREMIAH 29:11-13).

A wise man once said: "My message to Christians during this time and really to all people in general is don't panic, but pray. Live everyday like it may be your last." Greg Laurie, Harvest Christian Fellowship
