Power, Signs and Lying Wonders

According to a recent Gallop Poll, 48% of Americans believe in UFOs. 15% believe they've seen one.

Has everybody gone crazy or is there a Biblical explanation? We believe there is.

The endtimes will be characterized by deception, remember? "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken." (Luke 21:25-26)

Imagine, if you will, open alien contact. And what if those 'aliens' claimed to be our creators? Would that shake your faith? Perhaps not, if your faith is well-grounded. But what about the millions unfamiliar with Biblical truth? For those who don't believe in the spiritual realm or who aren't schooled in the doctrines concerning angels, fallen angels and demons, an 'alien' visitation might look pretty convincing.

The Bible says, "The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception." (2 Thessalonians 2: 9-10)

Although there are ancient myths and legends regarding strange visitors, the first wave of modern sightings began in 1947, just one year before Israel became a nation. Could there be a connection? Again...we believe there is.

Consider for a moment the fact that our adversary, the devil, knows Bible prophecy better than most scholars. Back in 1947 he (Satan) sees the world gearing up to give the Jews a homeland. He recognizes the profound prophetic implications, so what does he do? He sets into motion his endgame of spiritual deception.

We believe there is a hidden agenda behind the UFO phenomenon. Jesus warned us there will be great deception in the last days "and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs in the heavens." (Luke 21:11), M-m-m, could there be a connection?

To be continued...

A wise man (Thomas Jefferson) once said:
"In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock."
