"Christian Nationalism: Good or Bad?"

You may have heard the term "Christian nationalism" banied about this election cycle and got the distinct impression it was something you didn't want to touch with a ten-foot pole.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins explains why:

"Christian leaders have long held the Left-coined term "Christian nationalism" as a perjorative to stop believers from speaking about national issues. They are stretching that term to suggest that anyone bringing faith into the public square is advocating for "Christian nationalism".

Stephen Coughlin of  Unconstrained Analytics and a Lincoln Fellow at the Claremont Institute agrees:

"Christians should recognize the term "Christian nationalism" as part of a campaign designed to delegitimize you. It directly attacks American Christians for being politically active. As such, it's an attack on identity. It denies your right to express a faith-informed point of view."

And that ain't all folks. A group of left-wing (faaaar left) denomination leaders calling itself Christians Against Christian Nationalism asked the January 6 Commission "to thoroughly investigate the role that Christian nationalism played" in the D.C. melee.

Ben Johnson of The Washington Stand put it this way:

"The ill-defined term "Christian nationalism" has enjoyed a boom of media coverage in the lead-up to the 2022 Midterms, almost universally negative. The New Republic brands the beliefs as 'authoritative political ideology'. Time calls Christian nationalism "the greatest threat to democracy in America today."

What does the God of the Bible call it? Being a watchman on the wall.

A wise man once said: "A watchman on the wall is someone who is trained in the word of God and sensitive to the Holy Spirit. They have eyes that aren't cloudy and a mind that is sober. Their heart is to protect those who are weak and young in their faith. They operate in love but are fierce against evil. They are ready in season and out of season to jump into duty. The church needs watchmen on the wall today who will sound the alarm when the enemy tries to deceive us." -- Chuck Musselwhite, Daily Walk

"I posted watchmen over you who said, 'Listen for the sound of the alarm.' But you replied, 'No! We won't pay attention!'" (JEREMIAH 6:17).

"A Snapshot of Future Events"

Can anyone doubt Bible prophecy plays a leading role in the New Testament? For instance: "Out of the 216 chapters in the New Testament, there are 318 references to the Second Coming of Christ," according to prophecy teacher Dr. David Jeremiah of Turning Point Ministries.

"If we were to omit all the prophetic passages, we would have to remove one out of every thirty verses in the New Testament," he said.

And that's not all. Dr. Jeremiah points out we would also have to skip 23 of the 27 New Testament books that mention prophecy. In fact, for every prediction about the birth of Christ, there are eight about His Second Coming.

And yet, many churches still neglect to teach on the subject. Why?

Dr. Jeremiah believes some avoid prophecy because it seems difficult to understand. Others feel too overwhelmed by the present to think about the future. And some (believe it or not) don't see its relevance.

"Jesus often spoke abou the future and rebuked people who didn't recognize the significance of the events around them," contends Jeremiah and goes on to insist, "Jesus expects us to investigate what the Bible says about the future and seek His guidance as we attempt to understand the day and hour in which we live."

Given prophecy's prominence in Scripture, there can be little doubt Dr. David Jeremiah is absolutely right.

A wise man once said: "While many Christians are content to leave prophecy's pages shrouded in mystery and misunderstanding, it is the only reliable information about our tomorrows. God knows the end from the beginning and foretells the future with absolute accuracy. The Book of Revelation, along with other end-times prophecies, gives us a snapshot of the events that will precede the end of the world as we know it. The very word revelation means 'the unfolding of that which was previously hidden or unknown.'" -- Dr. David Jeremiah

"I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient time, what is still to come. I say "My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please"" (ISAIAH 46:10).

'UFO Contact Imminent?"

Just when you thought things couldn't possibly get any worse...

Scientists have come out with a dire new warning: Prepare for an alien encounter now before it's too late!

Apparently, the world is behind the curve when it comes to establishing a set of protocols and procedures in the event of a close encounter.

"Aliens could get in touch tomorrow and we must know what to say to them," cautions the scientific community.

Launching a new research hub to prepare humanity for first contact, the University of St. Andrews has joined forces with the UK SETI (Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and are even now bringing together experts from around the globe to remedy the situation. After all, they contend, there are measures in place for dealing with threats posed by asteroid impacts, but no agreement on how to respond to alien contact. Meanwhile, both NASA and the Pentagon have dedicated resources to the study of UFOs.

Fine and dandy...but what about sending a few "experts" to deal with the warning coming out of Russia that the world's five nuclear powers are 'on the brink of a direct armed conflict?'

And what about North Korea? Certainly they could use a couple of experts to "communicate" our displeasure at the dozens of missiles they're firing towards Japan and South Korea...

And while we're at it, didn't the Wall Street Journal report that Saudi Arabia recently warned the U.S. of an imminent attack by Iran? Couldn't we spare at least one expert for that?

Just sayin'...learning to speak with the aliens might be cool and all...but global "experts" seem to be in short supply these days.

A wise man once said: "Many of the Bible's "nuclear war" prophecies take place during what we usually call the 'tribulation'--the final seven years before Christ's return. Jesus promises to catch away the Church before the tribulation begins. That's good news for His followers. But the Bible does not say that all nuclear war must take place in those seven years. It has already happened outside those seven years (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) and it can happen again at any point." -- Hal Lindsey, author

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." (MATTHEW 24:6-8)

"Why Would God Send People To Hell?"

"If God loves people, why doesn't He just save everyone?" Greg Laurie, Pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, gives the answers to life's biggest questions. Why would God send people to hell?

"While the question is good," says Laurie, "it places the blame for peoples' damnation on the wrong person: God."

"God doesn't want anyone to spend eternity in hell. In fact, He earnestly desires that everyone spend all eternity with Him in heaven."

Laurie explains, "Scripture tells us, God does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent" ( see 2 Peter 3:9). "Throughout the Bible we see God's loving and patient invitation for us to come to Him."
"Come to Me, all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest" (MATTHEW 11:28).
"Come. Let the thirsty ones come--anyone who wants to. Let them come and drink the water of life without charge" (REVELATION 22:17).
"The truth," contends Laurie, "is that there are some things only God can do--such as cleanse us of our sin, forgive us, and justify us. At the same time, there are some things only we can do--such as come to Him, believe in Him, and repent of our sins."

Laurie concludes, "While God does indeed love everyone, He has given us a wonderful but dangerous gift. That gift is called 'free will'. It is the ability to choose between right and wrong, good and evil, God and Satan, and heaven and hell. God will not force His salvation and forgiveness upon our lives. It is our choice to say 'yes' or 'no'.

In other words--people end up in hell because they reject God's offer of forgiveness.

"Suicide Via Science?"

A U.S. lab has been accused of "playing with fire" after it created a hybrid COVID "super-strain" with a kill rate of 80% when tested on mice.

"Boston University scientists combined Omnicron and the original Wuhan strain, despite the fact that sort of research is what is thought to be behind the COVID pandemic," reports The Daily Mail.

Crazy? Yes, according to Israeli top scientist Professor Shmuel Shapira. "This should be totally forbidden, it's playing with fire."

Dr. Richard Ebright, a chemist at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, agrees.

"The research is a clear example of gain of function research. If we are to avoid a next lab-generated pandemic, it is imperative that oversight of enhanced potential pandemic pathogen research be strengthened."

The problem? Oversight has not been strengthened and the Bible predicts pandemics will be part of the end time scenario. Apparently, what happens in Wuhan, doesn't stay in Wuhan.

A wise man once said: "Boston University is one of over a dozen BSL-3 laboratories in the United States, most of which have suffered lapses in viral containment at one time or another. As humanity has learned the hard way with COVID and SARS-CoV-2, if you build it, it will leak. Thus, the very construction of these dangerous pathogens is equivalent to 'suicide via science' for the human race." -- Mike Adams, Natural News

"Are We Going Into A Global Economic Death Spiral?"

The global economy is facing some serious headwinds according to many financial experts.

Pointing to 40-year high inflation, rising interest rates, the European energy crisis and escalating war-worries, one of Wall Street's most respected minds, Carl Icahn, warns "the worst is yet to come."

Icahn says the U.S. economy and stock market are in trouble and compares them to the fall of the Roman Empire.

Financial guru Bill Holter agrees.

"The ability to prevent a crash no longer exists. The system has gotten too big...there's too much debt. Too many sovereign governments have bumped up against debt saturation."

Holter's advice? If we get a bounce in the market, use it to get out.

Nomi Prins is a geopolitical financial expert and investigative journalist who 'sheds light on the dark corners of the global economy.'

According to Prins, the chaos in the global economy is due to one simple fact: money printing.

"Central bank money printing has created the biggest Ponzi scheme the world has ever seen...the Fed and other central banks have been printing money for decades. After the pandemic, the Fed created four and a half trillion dollars of money basically overnight. That's a Ponzi scheme.

"There are indications that we could have a massive crash, but to me...I think there is a treadmill spinning here that is going to keep spinning instead of completely crashing. That's why I think there is going to be a lot of mini crashes, followed by mini rallies along the way...I don't see one massive crash. I see massive turbulence."

Meanwhile, Prins believes it's the common people struggling to make ends meet that will suffer the most. Nothing new about that.

Our advice? Get out of debt and into your Bible. Then you'll be ready for what ever comes next.

"Magog's Revenge"

While everyone agrees the Nord Stream pipeline was deliberately sabotaged, no one seems to know who's responsible.

Fingers are pointing in every direction and tensions in the region have never been higher. The West claims Russia did it to themselves, and Russia says Ukraine had everything to gain.

The facts?

President Biden and the Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs made threats against the Nord Stream pipeline in the run-up to the Russian/Ukraine war.

Biden: "If Russia invades...then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it."

Reporter: "But how will you do that, exactly, since the project is in Germany's control?"

Biden: "I promise you, we will be able to do that."

Undersecretary Victoria Nuland: "If Russia invades Ukraine, one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward."

According to a report by German magazine Der Spiegal, the CIA warned Berlin weeks ago about a potential attack on gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea.

In addition, both the U.S. Navy and the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group recently conducted separate training exercises in the Baltic Sea.

Suspicious? Well, let's just say they had: motive, means and opportunity.

Meanwhile, Russia is busy ordering up the draft and making nuclear threats.

Oh, and guess what the Russian Ministry of Defense just did? Made a bid to procure iodine pills.

Putin insists he's not bluffing. The rest of us better pray that he is.

A wise man once said: "There are reasons for Putin to hold his nuclear fire including the fact that Russia itself would be contaminated by fallout from a nuclear strike." - Gideon Rachman, Financial Times
