"What's More Prophetically Significant Than a Volatile Stock Market?"

A summer that seemed destined to be remembered for its endless dog days, seems to have lurched suddenly towards the eve of destruction. 

Glen Beck predicts "We're headed for a massive global collaspe," and cites China's hoarding of gold as proof.

"If only we knew what the rich people all seem to know, we could get ready," he laments.

According to CNN, "Fear has set in on Wall Street." Market volatility, and global recession may be in our future.

Meanwhile, Bank of America's top global strategist is warning investors to 'Sell the first rate-cut; stocks could be in for trouble as the economy heads toward a hard landing and the Fed gets set to slash rates.'

Yikes--sounds apocalyptic--but wait...there's more...

What these prognosticators failed to mention is actually much more prophetically significant than a tumbling stock market.

While the world waits to see how Iran will retalliate against Israel for taking out one of their top operatives, Russia has been busy too.

Last week Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the United States that if Washington deployed missiles in Germany then Russia would station similar missiles in striking distance of the U.S.

Significant because the Bible predicts an alliance between Russia, Turkey and Iran will form in the last days. This alliance will result in an attack against Israel called the War of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38).

Keep in mind that until the 1990's, Russia and Iran had been fierce enemies for 2,500 years, and Bible scoffers used this prophecy to discredit Scripture insisting it could never happen. Today, Russia and Iran are in a tight military alliance.

Russia and Turkey haven't exactly been BFF's either over the years, and in 2015 tensions between the two nations soared when Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet and assassinated the Russian ambassador to Turkey. War between the two was narrowly averted.

But here we are in 2024 and just as the Bible predicted, Russia, Iran and Turkey are one big happy family with a common foe--Israel.

Fast forward to Russia threatening the U.S. 

What prophetic significance could that possibly have?

The U.S. is Israel's greatest ally and yet, according to the Bible,we are nowhere to be found when she is attacked by Iran,Turkey & Russia. Why?

"Doomsday: Ticking Closer Than Ever"

Last week we got our annual wake-up call: It seems Doomsday is rearing its ugly head again and the world has ticked the closest to global annihilation as it has ever been.

That's right gang. The Science and Security Board at the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists released their yearly "Doomsday Clock" report -- and you guessed it -- the news ain't good.

According to the keepers of The Clock:

"Nuclear risks increased significantly last year due largely to Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine...we are living in a time of unprecedented danger."

And while you can't exactly hang the dreaded Doomsday Clock on your wall to keep track of the seconds, it is a rather timely reminder: The world as we know it won't last forever.

Jesus said:

"Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father" (MATTHEW 24:36,42).

He added that the timing of the end would be unexpected, "...at an hour that you do not think to be it" (MATTHEW 24:44).

Even though we can't know the day and hour, Jesus didn't leave us in the dark -- He provided a composite of signs, or groups of events that would identify the time leading up to the end of the world...as we know it...

...but not the end of the world...period.

The truth is Earth will still be here even after it ends (as we know it) and it will be filled with people, just as the Bible promises in Psalm 37:29:

"The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it."

Eventually, heaven and earth will merge and become one -- a new heaven and a new earth.

How? God will bring about the conditions described in the Book of Revelation -- just make sure you read all the way to the end.

'UFO Contact Imminent?"

  

Just when you thought things couldn't possibly get any worse...

Scientists have come out with a dire new warning: Prepare for an alien encounter now before it's too late!

Apparently, the world is behind the curve when it comes to establishing a set of protocols and procedures in the event of a close encounter.

"Aliens could get in touch tomorrow and we must know what to say to them," cautions the scientific community.

Launching a new research hub to prepare humanity for first contact, the University of St. Andrews has joined forces with the UK SETI (Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and are even now bringing together experts from around the globe to remedy the situation. After all, they contend, there are measures in place for dealing with threats posed by asteroid impacts, but no agreement on how to respond to alien contact. Meanwhile, both NASA and the Pentagon have dedicated resources to the study of UFOs.

Fine and dandy...but what about sending a few "experts" to deal with the warning coming out of Russia that the world's five nuclear powers are 'on the brink of a direct armed conflict?'

And what about North Korea? Certainly they could use a couple of experts to "communicate" our displeasure at the dozens of missiles they're firing towards Japan and South Korea...

And while we're at it, didn't the Wall Street Journal report that Saudi Arabia recently warned the U.S. of an imminent attack by Iran? Couldn't we spare at least one expert for that?

Just sayin'...learning to speak with the aliens might be cool and all...but global "experts" seem to be in short supply these days.

"Age of Deception"

What is the biggest threat to our world today?

If you're thinking nuclear war, pandemics, or natural disasters, we'd say, "close, but no cigar."

Scripture is replete with warnings, but one looms larger than all the rest: deception.

The Bible says Satan is the god of this world and calls him the "father of lies." Spending his time whispering his heresies into the ears of unsuspecting people, Satan loves to deceive, kill, and destroy. Let's face it, gang, there's a war going on, an invisible, cosmic contest for the souls of men.

God wants you in heaven. Satan wants you in hell. It really is as simple as that.

Because Lucifer is an 'angel of light', he's an expert at making good look evil and evil look good. He hates God and God's people and is working overtime to make sure the world does too. A recent Barna Poll shows that 25 % of Americans have a negative view of Christians, up from 12% in 2011.

Really?!?

Actually, we shouldn't be surprised.

Jesus warned us. He said, "When the world hates you, remember it hated Me before it hated you. The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don't. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you...the people of the world will hate you because you belong to Me, for they don't know God who sent Me. (John 15:18).

1 John 2:11 says: "Anyone who hates a Christian is living and walking in darkness. Such a person is lost, having been blinded by the darkness." In other words, being a Christian will not win you any popularity contests with unbelievers because "the sinful nature is always hostile to God. (Romans 8:7).

To make matters even worse, Satan and his minions have wormed their way into the church! False teachers abound. 2 Peter 2:2 says, "Many will follow their evil teachings and shameful immorality. And because of them, Christ and His true way will be slandered."

1 Timothy 4:1 says, "Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons. These teachers are hypocrites and liars. They pretend to be religious, but their consciences are dead."
Looks pretty bleak, doesn't it? Just remember this: We have a secret weapon that sends the enemy trembling in fear--the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says, "Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; in stead, rebuke and expose them." (Ephesians 5:11).

This is exactly what we intend to do...stay tuned.

"Is The Stage Being Set For War In The Middle East?"

It's hard to believe that in the years prior to 1948, most liberal scholars ridiculed the idea of a restored Jewish homeland. "You can't take the Bible literally," they scoffed. Others thought that the promises God made to Israel must now be applied to the church. Why? Because Israel had rejected her Messiah. Any promises made to her were now null and void.

Well, I guess God didn't get that memo and neither did many of the conservative scholars throughout history. People who took the Bible at its word (i.e. literally) understood the certainty of Israel's re-establishment as a nation long before the events of 1948. Many of them wrote about it as far back as 1611. They were looking for three signs:

1. The rebirth of the nation Israel. (fulfilled on May 14, 1948)
2. The Jewish repossession of old Jerusalem. (fulfilled in 1967)
3. The rebuilding of the ancient Jewish temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. (not yet fulfilled)

These three clues will signal that the time of Messiah's return is near.

Unfortunately, that ain't all folks. Israel's return to the land would trigger ongoing hostility from all of her surrounding neighbors. Psalm 83 predicts a conspiracy involving the nations on Israel's borders. Their plan? Destroy Israel. (obviously, this hasn't happened yet, but when it does, it will fail).

Many believe this war is next on the prophetic calendar and will set the stage for the famous Ezekiel 38 prophecy, which details a surprise attack against Israel involving Iran (aka Persia), Russia (Magog) and a coalition of Muslim nations. The Bible indicates this war may be nuclear.

Only time will tell.

"...Thus says the Lord GOD: 'Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel...(Ezekiel 37: 21-22).

"Experts: 'Third World War Has Never Been So Close: Russia Prepares While America Sleeps'"

While most Americans are watching the presidential election like maniacal hawks, the international "think tank" Katehon is watching the world inch dangerously close to WWIII.

Why haven't you been hearing about this? Because the American media hasn't been doing its job (or maybe it has, if its job is to keep us in the dark).

Katehon, "an independent organization consisting of an international network of people--from a wide variety of fields and disciplines--who specialize in the geopolitical, geostrategic and political analysis of world events." Katehon keeps its eye on the ball and warns: "No one invited the U.S. into Syria. It has become a proxy war against Russia and Russia refuses to back down."

Though Katehon works behind the scenes, it's members include:

• international relations researchers
• political thinkers and philosophers

In short, they are Brainiacs from all over the world who's job it is to forecast global trends and warn when necessary.

Why should we care? Because according to Katehon: the "Third World War has never been so close."

Katehon contends that on "September 17th, the likelihood of this war was breathtakingly high," when American troops bombed positions of the Syrian army at Deir ez-Zor, resulting in the deaths of 60 Syrian soldiers.

According to Katehon: "This strike was extremely important for ISIS militants, whom the U.S. is informally advising and arming while supposedly fighting them."

"This crossed the line. Bombing Syrian soldiers is one thing, but this means declaring war not only against Syria, but also Russia, which is fighting in Syria on Assad's side. And this means that we have reached a climax."

U.S.leadership claimed that the air strike was a mistake and warned Russia not to react--but everybody, including Russia, believes the U.S. is lying.

 "Modern technology," Katehon continued, "allows satellite objects to be seen from a desktop. Theoretically, American bombers could not have simply confused such a strike."

"The point of no return has not yet been crossed", but Moscow is getting the Russian people ready for a direct, formal confrontation with the U.S. and NATO.

Vladimir Putin this week ordered the evacuation of 40 million Russians in a huge 4-day "drill". The drill will prepare Russian citizens for "large natural and man-made disasters", this according to the country's Ministry for Civil Defence.

But with tensions already so high over Syria, this drill has set alarms off in Washington and NATO states.

"Thus," according to Katehon, "everything at this point is very, very serious>'

"Doomsday Clock Strikes Again!"

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists dragged out their metaphorical clock again this week--you know, the big ol' clock that measures how close we are to blowing ourselves to smithereens?

Yeah. That clock...the clock that reflects how vulnerable the world is to catastrophe from nuclear weapons, terrorists, new technologies, etc., with midnight symbolizing 'apocalypse'.

"Unless we change the way we think, humanity remains in serious danger," said Lawrence Krauss, top-dog among Atomic Scientist types.

California Gov. Jerry Brown joined former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz and former U.S. Secretary of Defense William Perry for a discussion at Stanford University after the unveiling of the clock.

Perry feared the threat of nuclear war with Russia "was greater today than during the Cold War." Shultz warned about relations between the U.S. and China and our need to "engage" Russia before things really deteriorate into something unstoppable.

And Jerry Brown (aka "Moonbeam")?

Climate change.

That's right, people. Jerry Brown, the genius behind California's bullet train, is staying awake nights worrying about the weather.

The decision to move the hands of the Doomsday Clock forward is made by the Bulletin's Science and Security Board, a group of physicists and scientists from around the globe, which includes more than a dozen Nobel laureates.

This year the infamous clock remained in place--at 3 minutes to midnight--practically a miracle when you consider the "grave threat" of climate change, and all.

A wise man once said: "We are asked to believe that humans are drastically changing the earth's climate  by burning fossil fuels. The problem with their theory is very simple: It is not true. Our climate is constantly changing for perfectly natural reasons that have nothing to do with carbon dioxide." -- Statement by a coalition of scientists which includes multiple experts formerly from the EPA, Environment Canada, and the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC).
