"Were Witches Paid To Curse Charlie Kirk?'

(Megyn Kelly says they were...)

On her Sirius XM podcast, Megyn Kelly condemned a satirical
Jezebel article published on Etsy (yes--that Etsy, the arts and craft site).

The title? "We Paid Some Etsy Witches To Curse Charlie Kirk."

Wait...what!? That's right gang. Apparently, Etsy, the arts and (witch) craft site, has gone over to the dark side.

The piece described an anonymous writer hiring self-proclaimed witches on Etsy to cast hexes on Charlie Kirk.

The curses were commissioned on August 23, 2025 with promises of results within two to three weeks.

Kirk was assassinated on September 10, 2025--just 18 days after the spell was cast.

Coincidence? Megyn Kelly doesn't think so. Outraged at Jezebel (owned by G/O Media) and Etsy for enabling vile and evil content, Kelly warned that summoning demons has "real-world consequences and is not a game."

While we agree casting spells to curse anyone is evil, we know the power of God is infinitely stronger.

Example? Donald Trump.

Witches, Wiccans and occult practioners have had him in their crosshairs ever since his ride down the escalator. And even though global platforms like Reddit, TikTok ("WitchTok") and Facebook are used by these evil-doers to work together in a broad, organized and concerted effort to destroy the President, they have failed.

Why? Prayer. Millions pray for Trump everyday and clearly, God is not done with him yet.

As for Charlie, what Satan meant for evil, God has used for good. Many have come to faith in Christ because of Charlie's death.

Even so, Megyn Kelly is right--witchcraft is not a game as Exodus 22:18 make clear: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (EPHESIANS 6:12)

A wise man once said: "Witchcraft is an abomination to God, a rebellion against His sovereignty that invites His righteous judgment." John Calvin-(1509-1564)

"Generation M And Their 'New' Spirituality"

At least a dozen new books came out recently with one thing in common: they were all about witches. There were so many that Publishers Weekly declared it to be "the season of the witch."

The New York Times published a recent article titled "When Did Everybody Become A Witch? that claimed, "Real witches are roaming among us, and they're seemingly everywhere!"

According to Pew Research Center, 60% of Americans believe in one or more of the following:

  • psychics
  • astrology
  • reincarnation
  • spiritual energy in inanimate objects
As witchcraft spikes in America, Dr. Michael Brown, author of Jezebel's War With America, warns Christians should take it seriously. "The rapid rise of witchcraft is very real and frightening," he said in an interview on CBN News.com

While researching his book, Brown was shocked to discover that the U.S. witch population has seen an astronomical rise in recent years and that the fastest growing religion in the U.S. is witchcraft. Why? Because as millennials reject Christianity, they are turning to witchcraft, Wicca and paganism. "There are now more practicing witches in the U.S. than ever before," Brown said.

His book focuses on what he calls the Jezebel spirit that he believes is at work today through the fascination with witchcraft and other spiritual forces to destroy America.

According to Brown, "There is Jezebel the woman (known for her sorceries and witchcraft in 2 Kings); and there is Jezebel the spirit, meaning the demonic power that acted through her."

Brown believes the spirit of Jezebel is thriving in America and cites the following examples:
  • millennials turning away from God in droves and toward spiritualism
  • the massive spike in pornography and immorality
  • the militant, child-killing spirit and radical feminism
  • the aggressive LGBT movement and gender dysphoria
"The rise of witchcraft in America has Jezebel's name written all over it," Brown said. "And yes, some of it may be just talk," he admitted. "But you are talking about people gathering together, appealing to other spiritual powers and they are militantly against the Bible. They are militantly against Christian values. This is something that is really happening. So the window is wide open for deception to come flooding in.  The spiritual warfare is real We need to be equipped. We need to take on the spirit of Jezebel. It's a real thing."

So what do we do?

"First, let's get educated," Brown suggests. "Let's understand. And let's realize we have greater spiritual weapons. Let's clean house in our own lives. Have we opened the door in our own lives to the seduction of Jezebel and these alternative spiritual truths and deceptions? And then we give ourselves to prayer. it is the ultimate spiritual weapon."

A wise man once said: "We must go to God to turn the heart of the nation. Politics is important, but the only solution for the nation is found in repentance and the Cross. Living this out we can take Jezebel down." -- Dr. Michael Brown -- author
"Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons."   (1Timothy 4:1).

"Witchcraft Repackaged"

The U.S. witch population is rising astronomically--to the tune of 1.5 million, according to Quartzy, Basic Witches. And its popularity isn't just growing--it levitating.

Apparently, anyone can be a witch. They pride themselves on being inclusive, although witchcraft tends to appeal to a certain type of demographic--you guessed it--young, liberal women.

According to Quartzy:
"The typical witch nowadays (and it's mostly she, though more men are starting to join in) examines her dreams for clues about her unconscious and fills her life with rituals. She probably attends new-moon gatherings or has an altar in her home. She might cast spells using crystals or herbs for manifestations of wealth and love. And she likely believes in polygamy, too."
Author Julie Roys, formerly of Moody Radio, believes, "It makes sense that witchcraft and the occult would rise as society becomes increasingly postmodern. The rejection of Christianity has left a void that people, as inherently spiritual beings, will seek to fill. Plus, Wicca has effectively repackaged witchcraft for millennial consumption. No longer is witchcraft and paganism satanic and demonic," she said.

GotQuestions.org begs to differ.
"The Bible has a lot to say about witchcraft. Witchcraft and its many cousins, such as fortune-telling and necromancy, are Satan's counterfeits to holy spirituality. The Bible expressly condemns all forms of witchcraft.
"Since the Garden of Eden, Satan's major focus has been to divert the human heart away from worship of the One true God. He entices humans with the suggestion of power, self-realization, and spiritual enlightenment. To become involved in witchcraft in any way is to enter Satan's realm. Modern entanglements with witchcraft include:

  • horoscopes
  • Ouija boards
  • Eastern meditation rituals
  • casting spells
  • using crystals or herbs
  • worshiping creation rather than the Creator
"Witchcraft and its many counterparts promise spirituality but lead only to emptiness  and death. Only Jesus has the words of life (John 6:68)."
A wise man once said: "Why seek any power apart from the source of all real power? Why seek spirits who are not the Holy Spirit?" -- GotQuestions.org
"Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that came from demons" - 1Timothy 4:1.
"The god of this age (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" - 2Corinthians 4:4.
