"Why Is Trust In MSM At An All-time Low?"

Now that COVID is but a distant memory (we hope!), what are most of us avoiding like the plague these days?

If you guessed the news (mainstream or otherwise), you would be correct.

According to Reuters Institude For The Study Of Journalism, an Oxford-based think tank that surveys people around the globe regarding their news-consumption habits, interest in news is at an all-time low.

Surprised? Neither were we.

Researchers contend "news avoidance" is a response to information overload, where news--the good, the bad, and the ugly--is constantly bombarding us from every direction, day and night, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

We have to admit, they have a point.

As Paul Farhi, from the Washington Post says,

"Digital media has made news ubiquitous and instantly available from thousands of sources representing every ideology, geography and language.

"And much of it, people say, drives feelings of depression, anger, anxiety or helplessness."

This may also hold a grain of truth.

But we believe the main reason for news avoidance is because we don't believe a word they say.

That's right, gang. The news business has no credibility--as in Zero--and they don't even bother to feign objectivity anymore.

The mainstream media have completely betrayed the trust of the American people, and according to the Reuters Institute survey, few in the rest of the world believe them either.

"When Lying Becomes Institutionalized"

Anyone with two functioning brain cells realizes we no longer have reliable institutions, let alone an honest mainstream media (MSM).

That's right folks, the people in charge of informing the public have gone faux--as in completely and totally twisting the facts. And if you think they hit rock bottom during the Trump era, think again.

Ladies and gentlemen, our major institutions, along with the MSM, are in open revolt against both the truth and the American people. Journalistic integrity is all but dead and none of them seem interested in holding our institutions accountable. Deception, incomplete disclosure, and outright lies have invaded our bureaucracies. 

Far from being unbiased, they are Globalists, involved in a cover-up to further a globalist agenda. For instance:  a peer-reviewed study has concluded that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention violated Federal law by inflating coronavirus fatality numbers.

In the past, the MSM would have been all over that, demanding the CDC's head on a platter, or at the very least, a thorough investigation. Now? Crickets.

And what about the scientific paper (another peer-reviewed study you've never heard about) from 2017 that contends the entire foundation of the man-made global-warming theory (the assumption that greenhouse gases warm the atmosphere by trapping heat) is wrong. Again, silence.

Both studies were conducted and peer-reviewed by reputable scientists and yet both studies were buried by the MSM. 

These are only two examples. What about the voter fraud allegations that were never given a hearing or the hundreds of censored opinions we are not allowed to hear? Schools have changed our history and "science" claims we can change our gender. The bigger the lie, the more people tend to believe it.

The Bible warns the end times will be characterized by deception (especially spiritual deception).

"For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear. They will reject the truth and follow strange myths" (2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4).

Though lies and deception seem to permeate all of our institutions, the truth is--we ain't seen nothing yet. The last seven years before the Second Coming of Christ (known as the Tribulation) is when deception will reach its peak. We aren't there yet, people, and God willing none of you reading this will be.

How will we escape? By choosing the Truth now while there's still time.

"Snopes: Who's Fact-Checking The Fact-Checkers?"

By definition, fact-checkers should stick with the facts. Neutral, unbiased, neither left nor right,  facts.

Unfortunately, they do not.

The latest example? Snopes.

Recently, a high-ranking Ugandan government official announced his support for implementing the death penalty for homosexuality (and though Uganda later walked this back, you can imagine the international outrage--and rightly so).

So who gets smeared over this?

Uganda? Nope. Chick-fil-a.

Chick-fil-a is the Christian company liberal trolls love to hate and one of them lost no time tweeting the following falsehood:

"Today Uganda announced a bill to legalize murdering gay people. National Christian Organization paid a preacher to go to Uganda and help their lawmakers with the bill. Chick-fil-a funds National Christian Org. If you eat at Chick-fil-a, this is what your money goes to."

You know that old saying that a lie goes half way around the world before the truth even gets its shoes on? That's what happened here. This tweet went absolutely viral, dragging Chick-fil-a's reputation through the mud along with it.

Thousands of people believed this hoax because our old pal Snopes got the facts wrong.

According to the Daily Caller News Foundation:

"In ensuing tweets, the Twitter user posted links to two outdated articles, neither of which proved the tweet's claims."

The Daily Caller concluded after thoroughly reviewing tax returns that "there is no indication that Chick-fil-a is currently funding the National Christian Foundation (NCF), much less bankrolling changes in Ugandan legislation through the NCF.

And even Snopes conceded that there's no evidence that "NCF-funded groups are involved in any potential renewed efforts" to pass a death penalty for homosexuality in Ugandan.

And yet, Snopes rated the false tweet a "mixture of truth and fact" in its fact-check because of a simple mix up (on Snopes part) of who donated to who.

Meanwhile, the damage is done, and the moral of the story remains the same: Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

"The Most Terrifying Bible Prophecy"

Every year the soothsayers crawl out of the woodwork with their predictions and every year the masses eat it up. But the Bible? Not so much. And yet:

• The Bible is the only prophetic book there is.
• The Bible is actually a compilation of books that tell the future in very specific and detailed prophecies that God uses to authenticate His authorship.
• The Bible reveals God's plan for mankind from the very beginning to the very end.

The result? The Bible proves God's existence, His purpose, His great love for mankind and the great lengths He went to in order to save us from an eternity separated from Him.

The problem? Most people will never bother to read the Bible.

As every major player and global trend continues to fit into place exactly as the Bible predicts, we believe the prophecy detailed in 1 Thessalonians 5: 2-3 may come in our lifetime:

"For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, 'All is well; everything is peaceful and secure', then disaster will fall upon them as suddenly as a woman's birth pains begin when her child is about to be born. And there will be no escape."

We're living in an age of deception filled with false doctrine, fabricated science and fake news. The scariest thing about deception is, when it's done well, we don't know we're being deceived.

The Bible warns against end-time deception that will accelerate once the church is taken out of the way and the Master Deceiver arrives on the scene.

"The coming of the lawless one (aka The Antichrist) is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12).

Ultimately, God will give people what they want. If you don't want God now--don't assume you'll want Him later.

"Weaponized Video: A New Way To Manipulate The Masses?"

Experts are sounding the alarm on the "terrifying" potential of digitally-altered audio/video capabilities.

That's right, Christian, recent advances in audio/video technology can make anyone appear to say anything by "stamping" one face onto another. www.cbsnews.com/news/experts-warn-of-digitally-altered-video-becoming-weaponized/

For instance: "Imagine a world leader appearing in a video to give a speech that never actually occurred. Computer-generated imagery has made this more possible than ever," said Tony Dokoupil on CBS This Morning.

And video experts as well as lawmakers, are freaking out, fearing it could sow chaos or even war.

"The idea that someone could put another person's face on an individual's body?" said Virginia Senator Mark Warner. "That would be like a home run for anyone who wants to interfere in a political process."

Sen. Warner believes manipulated video and doctored audio could be a game-changer in global politics by 2020, or even as early as later this year.

While this technology has some legitimate purposes, Hany Farid, who  runs a lab at Dartmouth College, is trying to expose it.

"We are absolutely not ready for this," he said, in regards to the new video face "stamp" and the Adobe program (reported on last year) that can create new audio from written text, and actually put new words in some one's mouth.

"Right out of the gate, that's terrifying," Farid said. "Now I can create the President of the United States saying just about anything.

"I think the nightmare situation is a fake video of a politician saying, 'I have launched nuclear weapons against a country.' The other country reacts within minutes, seconds, and we have a global nuclear war," said Farid.

And though his lab is developing tools to identify fakes, Farid believes this is only the beginning.

Yikes.

"Fake News That Destroys: Don't Let Anyone Mislead You"

One of the most fascinating and least understood phenomena of the human brain is the Placebo Effect.

According to the American Cancer Society, a placebo (pluh-SEE-bo) is a substance or other kind of treatment that looks just like a regular treatment or medicine, but is not. It's actually an inactive "look-alike" treatment or substance.

Author and scientist Dr. Joe Dispenza discusses practical applications of the so-called Placebo Effect and how the "expectation of a particular outcome" can be harnessed. In other words, we can essentially cure ourselves of maladies simply because we believe we are being cured of them, claims Dispenza in his new book titled--you guessed it--The Placebo Effect.

That's right gang, apparently, we can trick ourselves healthy!

And while the Placebo Effect may come in handy for making our body feel better, it can be deadly when applied to our spirit.

"There is a faith that has the appearance of genuine faith, but does not save," says Bible scholar John MacArthur.

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3).

2Corinthians 13:5 says: "Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is in you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.

Romans 8:9 says: "But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to Him at all."

Sometimes religion is like a placebo. It can be an inactive look-alike that actually inoculates us against the transforming power of the Holy Spirit (see 2Timothy 3:5). 

Authentic Christianity is not a religion, but a real and dynamic relationship with the living God.

 If His Spirit is not in you, you've been tricked with an inactive and powerless but spiritually-deadly placebo.
