"Should 'Prepping' Go Mainstream?"

'Prepping', once the purview of doomsday cults, has gone mainstream ever since the Corona virus reared it's ugly head. ( Funny how acres of empty store shelves where toilet paper once lived leaves a lasting impression).

"When some people think of prepping, it conjures images of strange people wearing tinfoil hats huddled in a shelter while they wait for the mothership to return," says the PreppingToSurvive.com website.  

So what's the real nature of preppers?

According to David Z. Morris of CNNMoney, "Many preppers are average consumers reacting to concrete worries, and their way of thinking is spreading, fueling an emerging lifestyle trend."

"More and more Americans are spending money to get ready for an uncertain future," Morris said.

Today's prepper, far from being a wild-eyed fanatic, sees prepping as an insurance plan. According to PreppingToSurvive they:

• buy extra food when it's on sale
• store extra water
• buy supplies in bulk and store some of it
• grow their own garden
• keep extra cash on hand
• get out of debt
• payoff their mortgage, if possible
• learn emergency first aid
• get to know their neighbors
• get to know their Bibles
• pray

In other words, today's prepper is: 

"A prudent person (who) foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions" (PROVERBS 23:3 and 27:12. It's there twice to make sure we get it!).

It doesn't have to be the end of the world. We are only one super-sized disaster away from the end of our world. (think supply chain disruptions, wildfires,  earthquakes, a job loss, an illness or even a return to panic TP hoarding). Let's not be part of the crowd waiting around for somebody else to come to our rescue.

"DOD Warns: Beijing & Moscow Weaponized Space"

Back in March, Defense Secretary Mark Esper confronted China's Defense Minister over the use of a high-powered laser.

Apparently, the Chinese military aimed the laser at a U.S. Navy patrol aircraft while it was flying in airspace above international waters.

"Secretary Esper called on the People's Liberation Army to conduct itself safely and professionally in accordance with bilateral agreements and international standards of safety at sea," the Pentagon said in a statement.

In September, Esper was at it again--warning that China was employing "directed energy weapons" and "killer satellites" against the United States.

Speaking at the Air Force Association Virtual Air, Space & Cyber Conference, the Defense Secretary accused Communist China and Russia, saying:

"Moscow and Beijing have turned a once-peaceful arena into a war-fighting domain. They have weaponized space through killer satellites, directed energy weapons, and more in an effort to exploit our systems and chip away at our military advantage."

Wait...what?!

Is Esper aware of the rumors flooding the internet about directed energy weapons being used to accelerate the wildfires raging across the western United States?

Though dismissed by the media, speculation continues to swirl that the majority of these wildfires were caused by arsonists and directed energy weapons.

"La Nina 2020: What Will It Mean 4 You?"

It's official. La Nina--a phenomenon that occurs when the surface of the Pacific Ocean cools--has formed. And according to the U.S. Climate Prediction Center, the effects are already evident.

"La Nina triggers an atmospheric chain reaction that stands to roil weather around the globe, often turning the western U.S. into a tinder box, fueling more powerful hurricanes in the Atlantic, and wreaking havoc globally. La Nina effects the entire world," the U.S. Climate Prediction Center said.

So far, La Nina can be blamed for: 

Over 7,000 wildfires raging across the west, including California, Oregon and Washington. Out of control fires have incinerated an unprecedented 3.1 million acres in California alone, thousands of homes, and over 30 people.

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown fears the number of casualties will rise.

"This could be the greatest loss of human lives and property due to wildfire in our state's history," she said.

"Entire communities have been razed with five towns 'substantially destroyed' and widespread evacuations taking place under apocalyptic orange skies," reports MailOnline.

From Bloomberg Green: "The extreme weather that's hammered California with runaway wildfires and hit Louisiana with its most powerful hurricane in 160 years may be about to get even worse."

In a year of never-ending bad news, a recent study reveals that 44% of all Americans believe God is sending the world a wake-up call to repent and turn away from their sin, because The End really is near.
