It's official. La Nina--a phenomenon that occurs when the surface of the Pacific Ocean cools--has formed. And according to the U.S. Climate Prediction Center, the effects are already evident.
"The Bible prophesies of many events that will occur in the end times. These events can be categorized as natural signs, spiritual signs, sociological signs, technological signs, and political signs. We can look to what the Bible says about these things, and if the signs are present in abundance, we can be certain that we are in fact, living in the end times...with the restoration of Israel to her land in 1948, the single most impressive proof that the end times are really upon us. And remember, these signs are here to warn us.
LUKE 21:28 says, "When all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near."
The good news? Though this world is sinking faster than the Titanic, God has provided a way of escape through faith in His Son.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life" (JOHN 3:16).
A wise man once said: "In a troubled time, it's easy to focus on worries rather than on God. And yet we find the solutions to our worries in God. We worry about elections and about violence in the streets. We worry about the world economy and the terrible plague. Those issues are important, but our focus needs to be on God and the things of God. Every minute of life here needs to be lived in the awareness of a future that spans eternity." -- Hal Lindsey, author
