"Did The Pope Deny Jesus Is God?"

Here we go again. Atheist Italian journalist, Eugenio Scalfari made headlines once more.

Can't place the name? He's the guy who's made a career out of "misquoting" his long-time friend, Pope Francis.

That's right gang--despite repeated claims from The Vatican press office that Scalfari's reports are unreliable, Pope Francis continues to grant him interviews.

According to the Catholic Church News:
In La Repubblica newspaper on Wednesday, Scalfari wrote: "Those who had the chance, as I have had different times, to meet him (Pope Francis) and speak to him with the greatest cultural confidence, know that Pope Francis conceives Christ as Jesus of Nazareth, a man, not God incarnate. Once incarnated, Jesus ceases to be a God and becomes a man until his death on the cross."
According to Scalfari, "When I happened to discuss these phrases, Pope Francis told me: "They are the definite proof that Jesus of Nazareth, once he became a man, even if he was a man of exceptional virtue, was not God at all."

As usual, the Holy See Press Office denies the allegations: "As already stated on other occasions, the words that Dr. Eugenio Scalfari attributes in quotation marks to the Holy Father during conversations with him cannot be considered as a faithful account of what has actually been said, but rather represent a personal and free interpretation of what he has heard, as is quite evident from what has been written today about the divinity of Jesus Christ."

Wait...what? Is that suppose to be a denial? Why doesn't the Pope come right out and say he believes Jesus is God and that Scalfari got it all wrong--again! (You may recall back in March 2018 Scalfari claimed the Pope told him that hell does not exist, contrary to Scripture and the Roman Catholic Church).

But no, instead Scalfari, a self-declared atheist and one-time fascist, is rewarded again and again with interviews and private audiences.

Meanwhile, Scalfari supports both abortion and euthanasia. Hmmm...can't help wondering if he supports the Pope.

A wise man once said: "Why on earth does Pope Francis still trust Eugenio Scalfari? He should disown not only the precise verbiage Scalfari reported in his piece, but the ideas foisted upon him therein--at least the ones that are manifestly heretical. The longer he does not the stronger the case becomes for believing he cannot."-- Christopher Altieri, Catholic Herald
"Spend time with the wise and you will become wise, but the friends of fools will suffer"  --Proverbs 13:20.

"Pope Francis: Is The Pope Catholic?"

In a recent interview, Pope Francis allegedly claimed that hell doesn't exist.

So where do unbelievers go when they die? According to the interview, the Pope said they just "disappear."

Hmmmm...apparently the Catholic Church never got the memo.

Catechism of the Catholic Church 1035:
"The teaching of the Church affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they suffer the punishments of hell, "eternal fire". The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs."
The Bible teaches that all sin is deadly.

"The Father gave His unique and beloved Son," says biblical scholar John MacArthur, "to die on behalf of sinful men because the consequences of sin is death (Romans 6:23). "Jesus paid the consequences for all those who believe Him and put their faith in Him. True faith in Christ is the only way to heaven."

Scripture says:
"Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few" (Matthew 7:13).
"Christ continually emphasized the difficulty of following Him," said MacArthur. "Salvation is by grace alone through faith, but it is not easy. It calls for knowledge of the truth, repentance, submission to Christ as Lord, and a willingness to obey His will and Word."

Pope Francis' view seems to be at odds with Scripture as well as other popes.

For instance, Pope Benedict XVI said in a 2007 sermon, "Jesus came to tells us that He wants us all in Heaven and that hell, of which so little is said in our time, exists and is eternal for those who close their hearts to His love."

The Vatican has been back-pedaling ever since Pope Francis' statement on hell went viral last week, dismissing the interview as "unofficial." Hopefully the Pope will give his followers an official statement soon because the Bible clearly warns:
"If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life (heaven) maimed than with two hands go to hell, where the fire never goes out" (Mark 9:43).
It's official: Hell is real and there is only One Way out of going there. How To Go To Heaven

A wise man once said: "For those who follow Jesus, death is a coronation. This world is not our home; our citizenship is in heaven. To those who are faithful, Christ will give a crown of Life."

"The Exorcist's Apprentice"

Last year Pope Francis advised priests not to "hesitate to refer people to an exorcist" should the need arise. This year that need has exploded, according to Newsweek.

"Sicilian priest and  trained exorcist Benigno Palilla told Vatican Radio that demand for priests trained in exorcism had tripled in recent years, with 500,000 alleged cases now recorded in Italy alone."

Newsmax reports "Exorcisms are a booming industry in the United Kingdom," according to researcher Ben Ryan.

"There has been an increased focus in the Anglican Church on exorcisms, and partially that's in response to increased demand," he said.

"They have been getting more and more people calling them saying there's demand for this. Outside the established church, there's a huge increase which you can see with your own eyes. If you walk down the Old Kent Road there are flyers and stickers (for exorcists) everywhere," Ryan said.

To what do they attribute this sinister surge?

Benigno Palilla (aka The Exorcist) pointed to the popularity of fortune tellers, tarot card readers, and other soothsaying mystics in Italy.

"Partaking in such sorcery unwittingly opens the door to the devil and possession," he warned, also citing psychological problems as the root cause.

With demonic possessions soaring, the Vatican plans to train new exorcists to meet the demand, because, according to Palilla, "A self-taught exorcist certainly meets errors."

His solution? An Exorcist Apprenticeship, of course.

A wise man once said:" Recognize Satan's strategies and guard against clever counterfeits, because he will be at work in the last days. Beware of any teaching that distorts the message of Jesus as found in the Bible." -- Greg Laurie, pastor
"Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons. These teachers are hypocrites and liars. They pretend to be religious, but their consciences are dead" -- 1 Timothy 4: 1-2.

"Trump Drops Historic Bombshell"

On Wednesday, December 6, President Donald Trump made history by announcing that the U.S. recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Not everyone was thrilled. In fact, many accuse Trump of playing with fire (including the Pope!), while the Palestinians and the Arab world are warning of violence.

Recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital--even if it did not include moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would, "Overturn decades of consensus among international peacemakers that any change in Jerusalem's status must come as part of a negotiated deal," according to The New York Times.

The problem? The international community and the Palestinians do not recognize the fact that the land belongs to God. God gave the land to the Jews and documented the transaction in the Old Testament.

Unfortunately, because the Jews were unfaithful to God, He scattered them throughout the nations in 70 A.D. with the promise to bring them back to the Land of Israel in the last days.

For 2,000 years the Jews were exiled and their land became the God-forsaken, sparsely populated, underdeveloped land of Palestine, which nobody wanted...until God brought the Jews back and President Truman recognized Israel as a state.

Fast forward exactly 70 years to December 6, 2017.

"Incredibly, the White House announcement comes on the Hebrew date, the 17th of Kislev, the same date on which the U.N. General Assembly adopted the Partition Plan for Palestine, recognizing the State of Israel in 1947," says The Times of Israel.

Coincidence?

A wise man once said; "Seventy years is biblically significant. You find it all through Scripture. Trump's move is historically significant. It comes exactly 70 years after his predecessor President Harry Truman recognized Israel as a state." -- Yehudah Glick, Israeli Knesset member
"Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land (Genesis 12:7).
"Thus says the Lord God: "I will gather the people of Israel from among the nations. I will bring them home to their own land from the places where they have been scattered" (Ezekiel 37:21).

"Pope Francis" 'Obamified'?"

According to a CNN piece by John Blake, the Right-wingers are at it again. (Those dang Right-wingers!)

What have they done this time? The 'Obamification' of Pope Francis!

"The same political slurs and conspiracy theories that critics have used against President Obama are now being deployed against Pope Francis. One critic even says the two leaders have morphed into a sinister figure he calls 'Popama', " Blake laments.

And that ain't all folks...

"Conservative concerns over Pope Francis appear to be growing. A Gallup poll this summer showed that Pope Francis' support among American conservatives fell from 72% last year to 45% in July."

Blake cites three ways the Pope is being 'Obamified':
  • He's a stealth socialist (Why? Just because he hates capitalism?)
  • He's the Antichrist (we haven't heard that one--but apparently if you Google the phrase "Is Pope Francis Antichrist" you'll get 440,000 hits. Yikes!)
  • He's on an 'Apology Tour' ( ala Obana?)
"Just like President Obama loved apologizing for America, Pope Francis likes to apologize for the Catholic Church," says Fox News.com editor Adam Shaw.

Shaw contends the Pope believes "the church is at its best when it is passive and not offending any one's sensibilities."

According to the CNN piece, "Some have even suggested that Pope Francis' allegiance to the Catholic Church is so shaky that he has an Islamic agenda--an accusation similar to one directed at Obama." (Now that one takes the baklava! So he invited an imam to the Vatican to recite Muslim prayers and Quran readings--how is that Islamic?)

So, is the Pope being 'Obamified'?

Didn't see any ring kisses--but he did get an unprecedented welcome from (his BFF?) the President.

The First Family travelled all the way to Joint Base Andrews outside Washington to greet the pontiff on the tarmac, a rare (read: NEVER!) occurrence, a day ahead of Wednesday's official welcome at the White House.

Popemania--maybe. But Obamified? Seriously?

A wise man once said: "If Pope Francis embraces the Climate Change agenda (along with President Obama), he will be aligning himself with enemies of the Church and moral principles." -- Marc Morano, Senate Environment Committee

"After this, I heard the sound of a vast crowd in heaven shouting, "Hallelujah! Salvation is from our God. Glory and power belong to Him alone." (Revelation 19:1)

"Pope Warns Global Economy Near Collapse"

While the US was obsessing over the Washington Redskins dropping their "racist" name, Pope Francis was busy trying to wake up the sheeple.

"Our world economic system can't take it anymore," he told Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. "We discard a whole generation to maintain an economic system that no longer endures."

"Inequality is the root of social evil," he recently tweeted and during a UN address he said, "Equitable economic progress will be made by the legitimate redistribution of economic benefits by the state."

Liberals are crazy about the guy and conservatives blast him as a socialist.

The real question? Is he right about the global economy? Is he correct in assuming that what goes up, must come down?

Financial expert James Rickards, author of the best-selling book, The Death of Money predicts "...the coming collapse of the the international monetary system."

"We are on the precipice now," says Rickards. "The mistakes have already been made. The instability is already in the system; we are just waiting for a catalyst. It's coming because the instability is already here."

Rickards explains, "It is the thing you won't see coming that will take the system down."

According to Rickards: "The international monetary system has collapsed three times in the past hundred years. Each collapse was followed by a period of tumult, war, civil unrest."

Pope Francis has challenged the world's business-elite to do more to help the poor and vulnerable. If James Rickards' predictions prove correct, they're going to be needing all the help they can get.

James Rickards on financial collapse...

A wise man once said: "One of the greatest disservices you can do to a man is to lend him money he can't pay back." --Jesse H. Jones, US Secretary of Commerce

"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.' That is why we can say with confidence, 'The LORD is my helper, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?'" (Hebrews 13:5-6)

"Pope Francis & Revelation 17"

What do Jews, Muslims, Mormons and Catholics all have in common?

Not much, unless of course you happen to be the new Pope. Then they are all one big happy family, with invites to the Vatican to pray.

During his recent visit to the Middle East, Pope Francis made an historic call for unity: He invited Israeli Jewish and Muslim leaders to join him at the Vatican, which they did on June 8th, Pentecost Sunday.

An impressive delegation of rabbis, Islamic imams and Catholic Cardinals, met with the Pontiff for an inter-religious gathering to pray for peace in the Middle East.

Not to rain on the Pope's parade, but is he oblivious to the Bible's predictions of a one-world religious system?

And is he unaware of the fact that most interpreters understand the seven mountains of Revelation 17 to be a reference to the seven hills along the Tiber River, a well-known designation of the city of Rome?

Last October Pope Francis went out of his way to call the Vatican system "a woman" and "a mother".

Is he completely out of the loop? Google Pope Francis and the false prophet to see what Revelation 17, which is famously connected in the minds of most biblically-literate people with the Vatican says:
"And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. And upon her forehead a name (was) written , Mystery, Babylon the Great, The Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth" (Revelation 17:4-5 emphasis added).

With the pedophile priest debacle still fresh in the public mind, the Vatican makes a popular target in regards to the above scripture.

Sometimes, it seems like Pope Francis is unwittingly (?) adding fuel to the fire.

A wise man once said:
"It is the bouden duty of every Christian to pray against Antichrist, and as to what Antichrist is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not the Popery of the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name." -- Charles Haddon Spurgeon

"Pope Francis: A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing?"

It all began when a lightning bolt zapped St. Peter's Dome at the Vatican after Pope Benedict's shocking resignation earlier this year. Lightning strike on the Vatican

Then came the wild speculation regarding the centuries-old 'prophecy of the Popes', alleging Pope Francis would be the last pope, and according to some, herald the beginning of the 'great apostacy' that Catholic scholars have been warning against for more than 800 years.

The facts?

Lightning bolts and extra-Biblical prophecies not withstanding, Pope Francis is no stranger to controversy, but do his statements line up with Scripture?

According to the new pontiff: You don't have to believe in God to go to heaven. "The issue for those who do not believe in God is to obey their conscience."

The Bible says: "There is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way of death" (Proverbs 14:12).

                          and

"...he who believes in Him (Jesus) is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3:16, 18).
Find out how to go to heaven

This pope:

  • is #4 on Forbes' 2013 ranking of the World's Most Powerful People
  • influences an estimated 1 in 7 human beings on Earth
  • has the MSM eating out of his hand
Two weeks ago he described 'ideological Christians' as a 'serious illness' within the Church.

What is an 'ideological Christian'? Technically, it's an adherent to a body of ideas characteristic of a particular group.

So wouldn't an 'ideological Christian' be one who adheres to Christian doctrine?

The folks love this guy--from the man on the street to the man in the White House.

Why?

Because of statements like these:
  • "If someone is gay and looking for the Lord, who am I to judge him?" (Read what the Bible says in Leviticus 20:13).
  • We shouldn't be "obsessed" with imposing doctrines on abortion or gay marriage. (Read what the Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5).
  • People should follow good and evil as they "conceive" of them. (Read what the Bible says in Ephesians 4:22-24).
  • "Proselytism is solemn nonsense, it makes no sense." (Read what the Bible says in Matthew 28:19).
Do you see a pattern here? Each statement is contradicted in Scripture.

Of course people like him--he says what they want to hear: Don't worry about obedience--all you need is love! Sounds like a liberal politician (or a Beatle?) or as if Love and following God's Word are mutually exclusive--they're not.

What does the Bible say?
"And so I solemnly urge you before God and before Christ Jesus--who will someday judge the living and the dead when He appears to set up His Kingdom: Preach the Word of God. Be persistent, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear" (2 Timothy 4:1-3).

So do we think Pope Francis is a wolf in sheep's clothing?

It doesn't matter what we think.

What does the Bible say?

A wise man once said: "Knowledge is power." -- Francis Bacon

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edge sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12).
