Diplomatic channels are working overtime, desparately trying to stop what now seems inevitable:
Another war in the Middle East.
U.S./Iran tensions are poised on a knife-edge between military escalation and last-ditch diplomacy.
President Trump has deployed a massive naval "armada" (led by the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group) to the region, while warning Iran that time is running out to make a new nuclear deal.
Trump's demands?
- End nuclear enrichment
- Limit ballistic missiles
- Curb proxy support (for: Hezbollah, Hamas and Houthi's)
Or else face "far worse" consequences than last year's attack.
Iran's response? Defiant. Officials warn of immediate, powerful retaliation against U.S. bases, carriers, and allies if attacked.
Meanwhile, everybody's on high alert and holding urgent meetings, pressing both sides to show restraint.
Will they?
Many analysts see this as brinkmanship to force concessions, but the military buildup and rhetoric make escalation a real risk if talks stall because the window for de-escalation seems to be rapidly closing.
The truth is, it's tense, volitale, and could swing either way, but it's still too late for the thousands of brave Iranian protesters who died waiting for help.
A wise man once said: "Unlike the Palestinian population and their leaders, the Iranian people do not seek the destruction of others. They so not want to replace anyone, they simply want to live in peace."--Amir Tsarfati, Behold Israel
