Colorado House Bill 1068 would have mandated that physicians provide medical care to an infant born alive after a failed abortion attempt, but Colorado legislature voted it down.
Some pro-life advocates wonder why some pro-choice Democrats would allow a practice equivalent to infanticide (the murder of an infant).
"It is outrageous that a born-alive human person may be subjected to lethal violence with impunity or be treated as if she is medical waste," said Jennifer Popik, Legislative Director of National Right to Life.
Jeff Hunt, Director of the Centennial Institute, agreed.
"Liberals will side with the women's right to choose. Conservatives side with the right to life of the child," Hunt said. "In this circumstance there is only one party that is inflicted with horrific violence and that is the child."
The Bible makes it very clear where God stands on this issue (and all other social issues). Jesus said, "My purpose is to give life in all its fullness" (John 10:10). But the devil's purpose is to "steal, kill and destroy."
Moot point say abortion advocates--no one ever survives abortion.
The Heritage Foundation begs to differ and gives cold, hard statistical evidence that proves dozens of infants manage to outlive lethal terminations every year.
Some states already have laws on the books that include protection for born-alive babies. For the very many that don't?
"We are called to use our voice to speak on behalf of innocent lives that are sacred and worthy of our protection," says Melissa Cifuentes, a pro-life activist. "Contact your representatives." And make your vote count for the most helpless among us.
A wise woman once said: "This is the height of shamefulness. It is absolutely an abomination that this is going on and we're having to have this argument in the United States today." -- U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY)
"It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones" (Luke 17:2).HOW TO GO TO HEAVEN!
