"Russia, China Increasingly Dangerous"

What's got the top combat officer of the U.S. Air Force worried?

A "resurgent Russia and a very, very aggressive China," said Air Force Gen. Herbert "Hawk" Carlisle, in an interview with USA Today.

Russian and Chinese war planes have been "increasingly aggressive" towards U.S. military aircraft, "buzzing perilously close" while intercepting them, and patrolling off the coast of California.

Their motivation? To expand their spheres of influence and send the message that the U.S. is no longer the Big Kid on the block.

Russia is pushing its way into Eastern Europe and the Pacific, while China is intent on the disputed South China Sea.

In other words, they want to control those international areas without U.S. influence.

"My belief," said Carlisle, "is that we cannot allow that to happen. We have to continue to operate legally in international airspace and international waterways. We have to continue to call them out when they are being aggressive and unsafe. Meeting the challenge from the Russian and Chinese to flights in international air space is essential but dangerous."

The risks are enormous. A mid-air collision among nuclear powers could drive tensions to the breaking point.

"Any accident that occurs while the U.S. military is playing cat and mouse with Russian or Chinese forces could escalate into a real fight," said military analyst, Loren Thompson.

"Small confrontations can turn into big wars," he continued, "and Russian military doctrine embraces the use of nuclear weapons."

The Bible indicates that Russia (along with Iran and a Muslim alliance) will eventually use nuclear weapons in a surprise attack against Israel (Ezekiel 38 & 39), and that China (as part of the "kings from the East" mentioned in Revelation 16:12) still has a major military role to play in the End Time scenario.

But the Bible is strangely silent when it comes to the United States.

"Congressman X: 'Deeply Disturbing Confessions'"

What's the big buzz in Washington these days?

If you guessed the Iranian Nuclear Deal unraveling, the Russian sabre-rattling, the transgender bathroom controversy, or even the current Presidential election...

No cigar for you!

The bombshell "threatening to blow the lid off Congress", according to Fox News.com is an 84-page "Confession" penned by a Washington insider.

In his yet-to-be-published book, "The Confessions of Congressman X: A disturbing and shockingly frank tell-all of vanity, greed and deceit" (available May 24th), the anonymous author apparently confirms the American people's worst suspicions:

• "Most of my colleagues are dishonest career politicians who revel in power and special interest money that's lavished upon them."
• "My main job is to keep my job, to get re-elected. It takes precedence over everything."
• "Fundraising is so time consuming. I seldom read any bills I vote on."
• "Voters are incredibly ignorant and know little about our form of government and how it works."
• "It's far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification."

These are only a few of the revelations of Congressman X and while it ought to motivate us to grab our pitchforks and torches...it probably won't (review final bullet-point above).

Let's hope it at least gets us motivated to annihilate them all at the ballot box.

"FLAKKA: The Zombie Apocalypse Is Real!"

What is 'flakka' (aka "gravel" or "$5 Insanity") and why is it so dangerous?

According to CNN, the chemical in flakka is a close cousin to "bath salts" (a drug made famous in Miami when a user ate the face off a homeless man) and is readily available to any kid on the street with five dollars to spend.

Much more dangerous than cocaine, there is a high risk of overdose with flakka, which can lead to violent, zombie-like behavior, hypothermia, and superhuman strength.

"It's so difficult to control the exact dose," said Jim Hall, a drug abuse epidemiologist. "Just a little bit of difference in how much is consumed can be the difference between getting high and dying. It's that critical."

Flakka can be smoked, injected or snorted like cocaine and is appealing to teenagers, especially boys, because it makes them feel like "The Incredible Hulk", says CNN.

Flakka is highly-addictive and until you've seen for yourself what it can do--you simply won't believe it.

Please watch both videos; show them to your children and share them with your friends. Flakka is a deadly new craze, but apparently many of today's common street drugs , including marijuana, are being laced with inexpensive synthetics with deadly results. Our children need to be graphically warned before we have a very personal zombie apocalypse, robbing us of everything we cherish.

"Life Begins With A Burst Of Light"

Is it possible to know the very moment life begins?

According to researchers at Northwestern University, not only have they pinpointed the moment of conception--they have documented the event.

A study published last week was accompanied by a stunning video that reveals a flash of light at the moment on conception. Apparently, "the egg releases massive amounts of zinc, which creates a spark that can be seen with the aid of a microscope."

"It was remarkable," said Teresa Woodruff, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School. "To see the zinc radiate out in a burst (of light) from each human egg was breathtaking."

Of course the unintended consequence of the study/video is that it finally proves that life begins at conception. It should absolutely stagger the pro-choice proponents (but probably won't).

"I saw this, and I was blown away by it," said Rush Limbaugh. "For anybody in the mainstream media to openly admit that life begins at conception defies arguments that an unborn child is only 'tissue mass.'"

What this evidence will do to the abortion laws remains to be seen, but George W. Bush had it right when he said:

"America stands for liberty, for the pursuit of happiness and for the unalienable right for life. This right to life cannot be granted or denied by government because it does not come from government, it comes from the Creator of life."

"Is The EU About To Disintegrate?"

The European Union may be in the throes of unravelling, warns Mario Monti, former Italian Prime Minister and European commissioner.

In an interview with POLITICO  last week, Monti said,"The EU is going through a crisis which leads me and others for the first time to consider whether we are not heading towards disintegration."

Monti blames the EU leadership "for the lack of adequate and timely responses to the present constellation of crises" such as:

• the rise of terrorism
• the massive migration problem
• the bloc's persistent economic malaise (haven't we heard this song before?)

"The EU has never been hit by such a high number of different crises of this gravity," Monti continued, and he is clear on where the fault lies: The European Council (aka "establishment elites").

Monti contends the Council's rise to power has been coupled with an unprecedented mistrust between North and South, East and West. The idea of an "ever-closer Union" is being attacked on all fronts.

Citing the "degradation" of national politics due to:

• a declining trust in national authorities
• a declining participation in votes
• and a growing impatience with the lack of performance by national governments, Monti fears an "irreversible process" leading to the loss of democracy.

Looks like Mr. Monti is on to something--the same scenario is being played out in the United States.

It seems the "establishment elites" have worn out their welcome and the people across the EU and U.S. aren't going to take it anymore.

"The Lost Generation"

According to a recent Religious Landscape Study , millennials (those born between 1981-1996) are much less likely than older Americans to:

• pray
• attend church
• or consider religion an important part of their lives.

Why? In short, (according to the study), their Baby Boomer parents.

Michael Hout, a professor of sociology at NYU, has spent years studying generational and religious changes in the United States.

Hout contends Baby Boomer parenting-styles were at odds with organizations, like churches, that have a long tradition of official teaching and obedience, having rejected the idea that a "good kid is an obedient kid."

In other words, Boomers raised their children to "find their own moral compass", and as a result, says Hout, their kids are more likely to have a "do-it-yourself" attitude toward religion.

According to what may be the largest study ever conducted on changes in American's religious involvement, researchers led by San Diego State University found that millennials are the least religious generation  of the last six decades, and possibly in the nation's history.

How long does it take to lose a culture, from a Christian perspective? Only one generation.

"Are Muslims Having Dreams & Visions of Jesus?"

Apparently there's a strange phenomenon taking place across the Middle East: Dreams and visions of Jesus.

Reports from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Syria and the West Bank have a similar message," claims Tom Doyle, E3 Partners Ministry Director for the Middle East and Central Asia. "You're on the wrong path; you're on the wrong road. Leave this place and follow Me," is an example of what Jesus is saying.

"It's true," says Doyle. "Muslims are coming to Christianity through dreams and visions. Great things are happening in the Muslim world. It's all very unexpected. Of course no one is going to bed a Muslim and waking up a Christian, but often times the dream is the first step in their faith journey."

Former radicalized Muslim and current Christian minister, Walid Shoebat, wasn't convinced.

"I had first doubted the countless stories of Muslims becoming Christians as a result of dreams until I met some of them and heard their testimonies."

"My conclusion to this phenomenon is that Christ succeeds where the church fails."

Shoebat believes the Western church is missing a great opportunity to win Muslims to Christianity because sharing with them isn't "on the radar."

"Tourists and Christian pilgrims rarely would witness to us when they visited the Holy Land out of fear and respect to Islam," Shoebat said.

So is this phenomenon on the up and up?

"In the last days, God says,'I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.'" Acts 2:17

 Maybe God decided it was time to take matters into His own hands.
