"Was Jesus Crazy? What does the evidence say?"

"What you believe about life and death matters because it determines your eternal destiny," says J.R. Hudberg of Our Daily Bread Ministries.

"We don't like to talk about death, yet it comes for us all," he says.

"When our hearts stop beating and our brains shut down and our last breath rasps from our lungs, is that the end?

"Death is not the end," Hudberg contends. "It's a doorway."

And what we believe about Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection determines where that 'doorway' leads: Heaven or Hell said Jesus Christ Himself.

According to literary scholar, C.S. Lewis' famous argument (or "trilemma" as it's become known), Jesus was either a "Lunatic, Liar, or Lord".

Your choice between these three options will have eternal ramifications. Says Lewis, a former atheist:

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him:

"I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God."
"That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic--on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg--or else he would be the Devil of Hell."

"You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is the Son of God, or else a madman or worse.

"You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to...

"Now it seems to me obvious that He was neither a lunatic nor a fiend; and consequently, however strange or terrifying or unlikely it may seem, I have to accept the view that He was and is God," Lewis opined.

So, was Jesus who He claimed to be? Or just some madman, or worse, a bad man?

Your choice in life determines which doorway will open for you at death: Heaven or Hell.

A wise man once said: "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." -- C.S. Lewis
"Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me."  (JOHN 14:6)
"I am the door. Those who come in through Me will be saved." (JOHN 10:9)

"Heaven: Everything You Wanted To Know (but were afraid to ask)"

Nobody was more surprised than Randy Alcorn when his big book Heaven sold over a million copies.

Apparently, the truth about Heaven is far more appealing than the dull, boring lies most people believe.

"Test this book by Scripture," Alcorn says. "I believe that most of my conclusions, even those that significantly depart from current evangelical thinking, will stand up to biblical scrutiny."

Having read the book, we agree--it is based on what the Bible says and the Bible provides a whole lot more information on Heaven than most realize.

Alcorn contends, "Thinking that Heaven will be boring betrays a heresy--that God is boring. Nonsense! God made our taste buds, adrenaline, the nerve endings that convey pleasure to our brains, our imaginations, and our capacity for happiness and excitement."

The truth?

"God plans to physically restore His entire creation, including us, earth, and animals" (ISAIAH 11:6-7; 65:17,25; ROMANS 8:19-23), declares Alcorn. "God's ultimate plan is not to take us up to live with Him in His place (which happens at death, but is only temporary). His plan is rather to come down after the resurrection to live with us forever in our place, the New Earth. As Jesus is God incarnate (God in a human body), so the New Earth will be Heaven incarnate.

"God's future plan of a renewed physical universe means we will live, eat and drink, laugh and play, rest and work, exercise our gifts as God's image-bearers, and most importantly, be with, worship, and serve King Jesus."

In other words, believing that eternal life consists of endless harp strumming while floating on clouds without real bodies is a strategy of Satan that makes some wonder if maybe Hell might be better.

A wise man once said: "Since the Resurrection awaits God's children, we haven't passed our peak happiness and never will. There's no need for bucket lists, because our new universe adventures will far exceed this life's. We really will live happily ever after. That's not wishful thinking. It's the blood-bought promise of Jesus...the best truly is yet to come." - Randy Alcorn

"Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away...Behold, I make all things new...Write this down, for these words are faithful and true" (REVELATION 21:3-5).

It is important to realize that everybody will have eternal life...the only question? Location, location, location. Hell is your default destination. You must choose to go to Heaven.   ðŸ‘‰ðŸ‘‰ðŸ‘‰"HOW TO GO TO HEAVEN"

"We're Closer Now Than Ever Before"

Back in 1993, author Dave Hunt challenged readers to evaluate their lives in light of Christ's promise: "I will come again." Hunt wrote an excellent book titled, "How Close Are We? Compelling Evidence for the Soon Return of Christ.

"The evidence was compelling back in '93...but Jesus didn't return. Here we are  thirty years later and yes, the evidence is infinitely more compelling. But as the years pile up, many of us have lost that urgent sense of expectation. The early church eagerly hoped Jesus would come at any moment. Do we?

Before answering that question, let's take a moment to consider 'How close are we?' Not to Jesus' return, but to Jesus. Deuteronomy 16:5 says: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength."

Wow.

Imagine demanding that kind of commitment from someone...unless of course, we planned to spend the rest of our existence with them. Under those circumstances, we'd feel we had a right to expect genuine devotion. Few of us would be content with a half-hearted, lukewarm commitment. It would be demeaning, insulting even. But isn't that what so many of us offer to God?

The Bible calls Jesus 'the Bridegroom' (John 3:29) and the Church 'the Bride'. It says He has chosen us to spend eternity with Him. In John 14:23, Jesus said: "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words."

Is loving God a feeling? It can be, but the word translated as 'love' in Deuteronomy means "to make one's choice in." God commanded His people to choose Him with all their being, and in the process, to deny  themselves (Matthew 16:24). Oh. So that means loving God isn't all warm fuzzies. It costs something.

Yep. And God will hold us accountable for how we live this life (1 Corinthians 3:14-15). After all, He left us detailed instructions in the Bible and commanded us to follow them. If we choose not to, we probably haven't chosen Him with all our being.

Someday Jesus will return for His Bride. How close are we? In terms of world conditions, we are undeniably very, very close. In terms of the heart? You be the judge.

"Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me that Day, and not to me only, but to all who have loved His appearing" (2 TIMOTHY 4:8)

"There is no judgment awaiting those who trust Him. But those who do not trust Him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light..." (JOHN 3:18)

"...there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. Their future is eternal destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and all they think about is this life here on earth. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior. He will take these weak mortal bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like His own, using the same mighty power that He will use to conquer everything, everywhere." (PHILIPPIANS 3:18-21)

"For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay." (HEBREWS 10:37)"Let us be glad and rejoice and honor Him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and His Bride has prepared herself...these are true words that come from God." (REVELATION 19: 7-8)

A wise man once said: "The key to being able to participate in the wedding banquet is faithfulness to God."--Earl D. Radmacher, ThD.

"Did Elon Musk Predict The 'Pin' That Will Burst Our Bubble?"

Contrary to what many believe, our world is never going back to the way it was. In fact, the world is careening headlong into unprecendented times.

According to Jonathan Brentner of Harbingers Daily, most of us are victims of 'Normalcy Bias', or as he put it, "The Bubble of Normalcy."

"In the financial world, a bubble refers to something that acquires an unrealistic and highly inflated value. When it bursts, it causes economic havoc.

"Many today live in a 'bubble of normalcy' where they feel secure because of exaggerated and unrealistic hopes of either a return to normalcy or of it continuing indefinitely into the future."

So what's the 'pin' that'll burst our bubble?

Elon Musk predicts artificial intelligence will be our biggest existential threat.

"With artificial intelligence we are summoning the demon. In all those stories where there's the guy with the pentagram and the holy water, it's like--yeah, he's sure he can control the demon. Doesn't work out," Musk said.

Bill Gates warns the next pandemic could be "society-ending" with a fatality rate much, much higher than COVID. Odds of that happening are over 50% according to Gates.

Sir Martin Rees, co-founder of the Centre For The Study of Existential Risk at Cambridge University, estimates a 42% chance of  'civilization collapse'  happening within the average American's life span.

To put Rees' calculations into perspective, the average individual is almost 50 times more likely to see civilization collapse than to die in a car accident.

And then there's the Bible, which predicts all of the above scenarios and much more on a global scale.

Says Jonathan Brentner:

"Unfortunately, this normalcy bias also characterizes many in Bible-believing churches. Many saints see the dangers, but fail to recognize that they signal the end of human history as we know it.
In order to cope with the threats, they often lapse back into the rhythm of life as though the perils don't really exist or will somehow go away.  Because they have no prophetic context into which they can place the chaos of our day, they hope that normalcy will somehow prevail."

It won't.

A wise man once said: "Because of America's long history of peace and security, its citizens live with what's called a 'normalcy bias'. As a result, critics label those of us who warn of the dangers inherent in a world speeding toward the Tribulation period as 'conspiracy theorists'... For those outside of Christ, the pin that will forever burst the bubble of normalcy will be the Rapture of the Church. It's the wildcard; it could happen today, next week, this year, or even later. We just don't know..." -- Jonthan Brentner, Harbingers Daily

"First I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire. This will be their argument: 'Jesus promised to come back, did He? Then where is He? Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly the same since the world was first created.'"     (2 PETER 3:3-4)
