"You Can Know Your Future"

While intriguing, speculation in regards to Christ's soon return is just that: speculation. Why? Because "no man know the day or the hour." Jesus could return at any moment and warned us to be ready. But let's face it, gang, we could also die at any moment. Jesus' advice is the same--be ready.

In his classic best seller, Erwin W. Lutzer cuts right to the chase and asks:

"Where will you be...one minute after you die?"

Will you be delighted beyond your wildest dreams or forever separated from all that is good?

"Many people spend more time planning for a vacation than preparing for eternity," say Lutzer. "So while relatives and friends plan your funeral, you will be more alive than you have ever been."

The Big Question? Where, exactly will you be? That depends on choices you make now. There are only two alternatives. "Either way, your future will be irrevocably fixed and eternally unchangeable," Lutzer explains. "One minute after you die, you will either be elated or terrified--and it will be too late to re-route your travel plans."

Wow...with stakes that high you'd think God would have given us detailed instructions on how to choose correctly. You'd think He would have sent a few messengers to make sure we understood exactly what we need to do to ensure we don't miss the boat on this one.

Guess what, gang--He did. It's that Bible some of us "messengers" are constantly accused of trying to shove down your throat.

Atheist comedian Penn Jellette (of Penn & Teller, magician duo fame) once said,
"I don't respect people who don't proselytize. If you believe that there's a heaven and a hell, and people could be going to hell or not getting eternal life, and you think that it's not really worth telling them this because it would be socially awkward...how much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate somebody to believe everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?"

He's got a point, don't you think? If you believe, you tell people.

After all the Bible says,

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him" (1 CORINTHIANS 2:9).

Who wants to miss that? And it's not like anyone is asking for a blind leap of faith. The evidence is there for anyone willing to look.

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is woven with predictions. In fact, more than 1/4 of the Bible is prophecy. Most of them (roughly 80%) have already been fulfilled with 100% accuracy.

These prophecies are very specific, provable events. God chose prophecy as the vehicle to authenticate the Bible. How better to prove One's existence and power over world events than to tell history in advance? Fulfilled prophecy conveys the unique signature of God, and is a powerful proof to an unbelieving world.

A supernatural book requires a supernatural key to unlock its mysteries. Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit and that God will flood you with light so that you can understand the wonderful future He has promised to those He called. "I want you to realize what a rich and glorious inheritance He has given to His people" (Ephesians 1:18).

A wise man once said: "God is prepared to pardon our sins if we repent and turn to Him. He can only forgive us based on the payment for sin in the death of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. What is He saving us from? Eternal separation from Him and everything good. Our greatest decision in life is where we will be in eternity." -- Philip W. Comfort, PhD.

"Israel: Explosion of Violence"

Once one realizes that all of God's promises are interwoven with the nation of Israel, the puzzle pieces of Bible prophecy begin to fit together.

For instance: Anti-Semitism.

Hitler wasn't the only one driven by a passionate desire to rid the world of Jews. There have been an amazing number of crazed lunatics throughout history all with one rabid intention: Destroy the Jew. Why? It's completely irrational...unless one considers the spiritual dimension: Destroy Israel and you destroy God's credibility. Mmmm...I wonder who'd want to do that?

Bible prophecy is a two-edged sword. On the plus side, God reveals His plan in advance, giving us reliable proof of His existence and authenticating the Bible as the infallible word of God. On the downside, the adversary, Satan, is also privy to the plan.

This creates a dilemma that God solves by using a bit of obscurity. While He can't be so veiled that we don't get the message, it prevents Him from giving us all the detail we might want. Ever wonder why God doesn't just spell it all out for us? He's got good reason; there's a certain demonic element intent on sabotaging God's plan.

From the time of Moses to the time of Christ, Satan tried over and over again to kill all male Hebrew children. Why? Because he knew the Messiah would be a Jew. If he could get rid of the Hebrew babies, the Messiah would never be born. When that failed, he thought he'd nailed it (no pun intended) at the cross. But no, foiled again! The crucified Savior was resurrected. Satan had played right into God's hand-not realizing that the only begotten Son had to die--it was God's plan all along: The Savior would die so we could live.

Even now, the Devil and his minions are working overtime to crush the Jew. Is it a coincidence that Israel is surrounded by enemies?

The Bible predicts the Messiah will return to Jerusalem when the Jews are back in their homeland and besieged on every side. If there are no Jews, there is no Messiah. If there is no Israel, then Satan wins and there is no God. That's how interwoven the nation of Israel is with God's promises.

A wise man once said: "Reports from Israel this week reminded me of a place in scripture where God Himself makes a prayer request. Psalm 122:6 says, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem..." As you pray, you will begin to sense God's heart for Jerusalem, her people, and His plan for the world. That plan in many ways centers on Jerusalem. God wants you to be a part of His great plan for the ages. Praying for Jerusalem brings you into His inner circle." -- Hal Lindsey, author

"Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper" (PSALM 122:6).

"Anyone who harms you (Israel) harms my most precious possession"  (ZECHARIAH 2:18).

"Pentagon Report: UFOs Are Real"

What has:

  • no wings?
  • no obvious signs of propulsion?
  • and can defy the natural effect of Earth's gravity?
If you guessed 'UFOs', you'd be correct, at least according to Luis Elizondo, former head of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) at the Pentagon.

That's right, people, UFOs are not just the purview of nutjob basement dwellers anymore. And this June our government will finally admit it.

Mandated by the Trump administration, the Pentagon must disclose what they know in a highly anticipated unclassified report. And while the U.S. government prefers using the term Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) and is by no means saying they come from outer space, this report will "finally acknowledge the reality that vessels with otherworldly technologies exist," say Elizondo.

According to Elizondo:
" I am not a UFO guy, I am an investigator. My job was simple, to collect the data and speak the truth. There is something in our skies, we don't know what it is, we don't know how it works, we don't know fully what it can do, we don't know who is behind the wheel, we don't know its intentions, and there isn't a damn thing we can do about it."

At a recent press conference, Elizondo disclosed that some UAP activity was distinctly alien from any known technology. For instance, vessels traveling at 11,000 miles per hour made abrupt turns, defying science. "Jets traveling at that speed would require half the state of Ohio to make that turn," he said.

Elizondo went on to say,

"There seems to be a very distinct congruency between UAP activity and our nuclear technology. That's concerning to the point where we've actually had some of our nuclear capabilities disabled by these things...There is absolutely evidence that UAPs have an active interest in our nuclear technology."

Navy Spots Pyramid-shaped UFO

And that ain't all folks. UFO sightings have spiked nearly double since last year. Objects shaped like cubes within spheres have been spotted by U.S. Navy pilots, pyramid-shaped objects have made incursions into U.S. air space, and commercial pilots have had close encounters with pulsating orbs.

The Bible warns that in the end times "men's hearts will fail from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken" (LUKE 21:26). It also warns it will be a time of great deception and lying signs and wonders.

Our advice?

Get very familiar with the Truth (Jesus and the Word of God) before it's too late.

A wise man once said: "I remember back before I was saved and was immersed in the New Age. I received these so-called channeled  messages from supposed alien that debunked Jesus and the Bible. Now that I am saved, I know that was all demonic...these demons are continually preparing the way to explain away the Rapture of the Church...Put yourself in the enemy's shoes...you just can't spin that baby. You can't hide that event. So, you better come up with a good excuse...See? That's why all these people have disappeared. it was aliens. They beamed  all those Christians up to their ships." --Billy Crone, pastor

"The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved"
(1 THESSALONIANS 2:9).

"Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against...the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (EPHESIANS 6:12).

"But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life and that Day come on you unexpectedly" (LUKE 21:34).

"The Clock of Human History is Ticking Away..."

Are we living in the worst of times or the best of times?

Both, depending on your perspective.

For those of us who believe in the imminent return of Christ, these are exciting times. The signs pointing to His soon return are everywhere. For those concerned only with this present life and who either don't know or don't care about a Biblical worldview, these are trying times.

Ironically, the very events that frighten or depress those without a love for His coming, create a growing sense of anticipation in those of us busy waiting for His return. That's the beauty of Bible prophecy: It reveals your spiritual temperature.

For the prophecy student, world events are not arbitrary or accidental, but a carefully orchestrated plan with a divine purpose. Bible teacher Charlie Campbell explains what role fulfilled prophecy plays in validating our hope in the future as laid out in Scripture:

"Fulfilled prophecy is something that sets the Bible apart from all other religious books. There are 26 other books that people of faith (non-Christian) believe are divinely-inspired. And none of these writings contain any specific fulfilled prophecies. There are no fulfilled prophecies in the Qur'an, the Hindu Vedas, the Bhaqavad-Gita, the sayings of Buddha and Confucius, or in the Book of Mormon. The Bible on the other hand is filled with fulfilled prophecy. In fact 27% of the Bible spoke prophetically at the time it was written. And the authors of the Bible did not just predict a couple of vague things like Jeane Dixon or Nostradamus. The Old Testament alone contains hundreds of very specific prophecies that have already come to pass. The fact that these prophecies were literally fulfilled give us the intellectual basis for believing that future, unfulfilled prophecies regarding the rapture of the Church, the Thousand-year reign of Christ on earth, etc. would also be literally fulfilled."

Current events, viewed through the lense of Bible prophecy can (and should) have a purifying effect on the Christian's life. Why? Because as we see the world lining up precisely as predicted, the Bible comes alive for us. Jesus Christ becomes real for us. And the realization that we will stand before a holy God and give an account of our lives, motivates us to live in the way the Bible teaches us to live. What man views as a "good life" doesn't count. It is God's opinion that matters.

"We must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad" (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Bible scholar Dr. Ed Hindson warns, "The clock of human history is ticking away. It neither speeds up nor slows down. It just keeps on ticking continually and relentlessly, moving us closer and closer to the end of the age. How close we are to the end will only be revealed by time itself. Don't gamble with your eternal destiny. Time may very well be running out. Make sure you are ready when Jesus comes." Visit http://www.heaven-gettingthere.blogspot.com/ to find out how.

A wise man once said: "As the world around us continues to embrace evil, the need for hope radically increases. God's Word holds the solution to this need: Jesus Christ's return! This is the great hope we have and promise we can hold on to in these dark days." -- Jack Hibbs, Senior Pastor, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills

"And now, dear children, continue to live in fellowship with Christ so that when He returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from Him in shame" (1 JOHN 2:28).
